hmmmmm HOW interesting - you would either be living under a ROCK, BEING Nieve or even dumb on purpose as in ignorance is bliss or just out of touch with reality but I was talking to my bro who is kinda interested in Jesus but from where im seated does not really have a relationship with God (however only God can answer that one) but I was talking to him last night and also God the other day about what is happening in the world today.

Anyways I went to 2 Timothy :3 and man oh man DOES THIS sum up the world RIGHT NOW.

1. False Bible teachers would be money hungry. They would be smooth talkers, have many followers, and slur the Christian faith (2 Peter 2:1-3) See some at: Fakemessiah.com

2. Homosexuality would be increasingly evident at the end of the age (2 Timothy 3:3)

3. Earthquakes would be in diverse places (Matthew 24:7)

4. Stress would be part of living (2 Timothy 3:1)

5. Many wars would erupt (Matthew 24:6)

6. People would forsake the Ten Commandments as a moral code, committing adultery, stealing, lying, and killing (Matthew 24:12)

7. There would be a cold religious system, in denying God's power (2 Timothy 3:5)

8. Men would substitute fantasy in place of Christian truth (2 Timothy 4:4). This is so evident at Christmas when the birth of the Savior is lost behind the myth of Santa Claus.

9. Deadly diseases would be prevalent (Matthew 24:7). The worldwide increase in AIDS deaths is almost inestimable. Over 160,000 Americans die of cancer each year.

10. The fact that God once flooded the earth (the Noahic flood) would be denied (2 Peter 3:5-6). There is a mass of fossil evidence to prove this fact, yet it is flatly ignored by the scientific world because of its uncanny implication.

11. The institution of marriage would be forsaken by many (1 Timothy 4:3)

12. There would be an increase in famines (Matthew 24:7)

13. Increase in vegetarianism would increase (1 Timothy 4:3-4)

14. There would be a cry for peace (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

15. The possession of Jerusalem would be at the center of international turmoil (Zechariah 12:3)

16. Knowledge would increase (Daniel 12:4)

17. There would be hypocrites within the Church (Matthew 13:25-30)

18. There would be an increase of religious cults/false teachers (Matthew 24:11 & 24)

19. The future would seem fearful to many (Luke 21:26)

20. Humanity would become materialistic (2 Timothy 3:4)

21. There would be many involved in travel (Daniel 12:4)

22. The Christian Gospel would be preached as a warning to all nations (Matthew 24:14)

23. Jesus said Christians would be hated "for His name's sake" (Matthew 24:9)

24: And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. (Luke 21:25-26).

25: Youth would become rebellious. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy (2 Timothy 3:2)

26: Men would mock the warning signs of the end of the age saying, "for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." (2 Peter 3:4). The Bible even reveals their motivation, they love lust (verse 3). They fail to understand that a day to the Lord is as a thousand years to us. God is not subject to the time that He created. He can flick through time as we flick through the pages of a history book. The reason He seems to be silent, is because He is patiently waiting, not willing that any perish, but that all come to repentance.

I got this stuff surfing the net then - http://www.bibleprobe.com/end-time-signs.htm

Also NO ONE KNOWS the time or the hour Jesus will come back for us Chrsitians who are in a relationship with him. Hear these words I have kinda thrown at you as warnings - WARNINGS like the red sky in the Morning as a shepards warning that a storm may be upon us....... Its about the relationship focus to with God and Jesus, remember that gang :(

Cheers mates

The main parable that is missing is the parable of the Fig Tree, which without, one could say that this has been happening to some extent through out time. Let's consider the parable.

Matthew 24:32-34

The Parable of the Fig Tree

Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. .

Israel is the Fig Tree and after almost 2000 years, She is now once again a nation, blooming as in spring, putting forth Her leaves. This is the only time in history, since A.D. 70, that this can be seen as true. Yes, the time is at hand. Invest your time in His work, for there is much work to be done!

Rubbish. What makes this point in time any different from any other point in time?

The point is simply that this would be no different to any other time if all the other factors / prophecies were not in play as well. there is a huge dove-tailing of many prophecies all being fulfilled together. The problem with the "rubbish" story is that it tends to place you in the end-time scoffers category. "These are they that scoff at the coming of the Lord stroy sayig where is the hope of His coming, all things will carry on as normal"

Besides, this or that prophecy the command of God is to look for his coming. there is a great urgency in the hearts of many that can feel it now.

Have things really changed or are you simply more aware?

ah yes, the popular argument that the belief we're in the end times is the result of an increase in technology and efficiency in news distribution. you know, this is a very common argument among unbelievers. are you sure you want to side with them?

this argument needs to be laid to rest. it is a scientific fact that the frequency of earthquakes, for example, are unprecedented.

http://www.thehorizonproject.com/earthquakes.cfm

this goes for all earth changes in general.

also, i've observed through much reading and conversation that those who use the word "rubbish"/"nonsense"/etc are indicating a strong presence of denial - as if they are not saying to others that it is rubbish but are rather trying to convince themselves, by typing it out physically, that it is rubbish, for if they believed it to be real then that may be intolerable. they have nothing substantial to reply with, and so they resort to using the aforementioned words and short sentences.

as angelindisguise pointed out, there are are plethora of reasons to believe we're in the end times.

but the big one for me is the "gog-magog" war prophesied by ezequiel. he said that in the end times russia and iran would form an alliance and attack israel. well we are seeing that right now. russia has been supplying iran with a steady and hefty amount of military supplies for quite some time now. this has not been covered on mainstream news, of course. moreover, the leader of iran has been frantically pursuing nuclear weapons and has made numerous blatant threats against isreal, such as "wiping it off the map".

these are all no mere coincidences. this "increase in awareness" argument indeed sounds convincing, that is until you see the facts and face reality with boldness.

yup, the end is coming. so what will you do about it? maybe what Jesus said?

Mat19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Mat19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

since you won't be needing your computer if the end is coming, sell it, right?

i'm not sure if i understand what you're saying, hx9. are you being sarcastic? do you believe the end is coming?

thanks

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
