Good. Here are some answers that should not get buried either:

The Bible records Jesus performing miracles in the presence of the Jewish leadership. They witnessed Jesus cause a man's withered hand to grow back to normal. They saw Jesus perform all kinds of miracles. It would not have helped Jesus'case at all for them to interview Lazarus.

They interviewed a man who was known publicly as having been born blind in John 9:10-17; 24-34. It did not help Jesus' case at all.

What you don't understand is that Jesus' enemies knew who Jesus was and it made them hate Him all the more. The Jewish leadership did not want a Messiah. A Messiah would pose a political threat to rule of Rome, and the Jewish leaders were Roman puppets who were expected to keep a lid on anything that might cause a revolt. They feared a Messiah would lead the people to rebel against Rome and these leaders would lose their favor with Rome and bring down the wrath of the Empire. So, verifying Jesus' authenticity would make Him MORE of a threat.

It is not suspicious at all. You just don't understand the political climate that existed at the time.
