I have a serious question (which will require some thought AFJ) for all those who do not see the value of the Feasts of God

and by the way...these are never called the Feasts of "Israel" by God...

Since you can find no verses which say the Feasts have stopped, (Paul admonishes us to keep the Feast of Passover for example...and he kept the Feast of Tabernacles also)

Is it possible that you have been made disciples of a religion? Namely Catholocism?

They were the embodyment of this new religion which cast out all things jewish. This was done in arrogance so why do you cling so tightly to it without even testing whether it is true or not?

No matter whether you "want" to celebrate these Feasts today or not....you WILL when He returns (another proof against preterism Brad)

Zechariah 14:

16 Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the (32) Feast of Booths.

17 And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, there will be no rain on them.

18 If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

19 This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

Isaiah 66:23

"And it shall be from new moon to new moon

And from sabbath to sabbath,

All mankind will come to bow down before Me," says the LORD.

Ezekial also mentions all of the Feasts being celebrated in the future except for one...The Feast of Pentecost where the Law was given....and the Spirit was also given almost 3,000 years later.

Yup, Jesus is Jewish alrighty. :t2: But I'm not.

In the New Testament, no religious holidays are commanded to be observed at all. Neither Christmas or Easter nor Lent nor any other is prescribed in the NT.

Would ya please get off the "command" kick!

I was answering a question there. And then I gave the reason for my answer.

:P

If I was Catholic, I'd be celebrating more holidays, not less. There's a Feast Day about every week.

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

Amen.

We don't let anyone judge us for it.

I do not have scriptures right infront of me so I will do the best I can with out the scriptures right in front of me. Yes, I believe a more correct interpretation of the Hebrew Word is time, and not feast is that correct, but the point is, this is a time that is very special.

Yes, the feast of passover is to be kept, with sincerity, and pure love, that is how we keep the feast we do that all the time, this is the requirement, all the time, that is how we keep the spiritual feast which has been made over the natural feast.

God had His purpose, or purposes for Paul to keep the feast of Tabernacles, we do not know for sure all of the different reasons this was done on this time, yet Paul was needing to go there, and maybe that is where His faith was at that time, more, and more, He went away from those natural laws of each spiritual precept, and teaching. Yet it was not wrong for Him to do what He did, He was following God's Spirit. I did mention if we who believe in Jesus Christ are lead to do those things to save Israel in the natural we can, and should, so they would be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.

I do not turn away from the Jewish things, I simply know Jesus Christ is all of God's Word, and thus He is over all His Word, and before all His Word, and He has chosen in His Word to establish new things, when He comes back He will establish more of the Old Testament, but if we chose to believe in all the New Testament we should realize we are not under any law of the Old Testament, we are under Christ of The New Testament.

but we only need to know the last third of it, right?

and thus He is over all His Word, and before all His Word, and He has chosen in His Word to establish new things, when He comes back He will establish more of the Old Testament,

can you see how contradictory this statement is?

but if we chose to believe in all the New Testament we should realize we are not under any law of the Old Testament, we are under Christ of The New Testament.

there are more "laws" in the New Testament than the Old. Which ones are you talking about?

You should look at the New Testament as a commentary on the Old. You've been taught the exact opposite.

Christ of the New Testament is the embodyment of the Torah and the Prophets. If you think His burden is anything but light then you don't know the Torah.

Oy...centuries of misunderstanding will not be done away with in a few posts.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
