I was wondering the same thing myself.  It just doesn't make any sense does it?

I guess I'll have to check FoxNews.  If any channel has it, it will be them.

It's been on Fox all day since the story broke with an embedded reporter. When asked at today's Pentagon briefing, the military spokesman basically said that they had to perform additional tests to substantiate the findings {to rule out 'false positives'} and to determine what type of radiation and what type of radioactive substance was being radiated.

At present, they suspect it's weapons grade plutonium but this cannot be confirmed as of yet.

Additional testing is forthcoming but nothing can be concretely determined right now.

Apparently it turned out to be nothing after all.  Oh well, the people of the world that don't have an anti-Bush agenda already know that saddam has/had access to the banned chemicals.  The president did the right thing.

I don't have an anti-bush agenda; I do keep a keen eye on him.

Let me put it this way :

If he goes home after this Iraqi thing; he is just a president of the US that just tried to get rid of his enemies (more then 4000 of them)

When he pushes on unto Syria and enforces the peace - treaty, then I pity you, pity all that live in your country; and praise the Lord for this verse came to pass in the end of days:

TwoBombs, what does going into Syria to look for saddam and the WMD have to do with my response to the original posting?  The people I was referring to with an antiBush agenda would still be against his choice if we found a million nuclear bombs in Baghdad.  It is all partisan politics to those people.  Those types of people(and there are some of both sides) would probably vote for the devil if he was running on their parties ticket.

As for trying to smoke out saddam from Syria, he would be foolish to not do so.  I don't see where posting a verse about God's judgment has anything to do with that though.

One more thing, what country are you pitying?  The country I live in now, or the one in which I am a citizen?

Two Bombs, with all due respect, you are forgetting something, something most Americans cannot forget.

On Sept. 11, 2003, terrorists declared war on the U.S.  They attacked us.  Our president, as commander-in-chief, to protect our country, returned the declaration on them.  We are in a war with terrorism.  It is not the kind of war people are used to.  It is not about nations.  However, if a nation is in league with terrorists, we are obligated to put an end to it.  Because if we do not, we have full assurance we will be attacked again with likely near equal tragedy of hijacked planes being flown into the Twin Towers and Pentegon.  Pres. Bush made a promise to the American people that he would put an end to the terrorists' activity.  He gave a warning back in the late summer/early fall of 2001 to any nation that was helping, harboring, or in any way associated with terrorism, "We will hunt you down."

It is not our choice.  It is not our desire to be empirialistic.  It is not our desire to take over the world or become the world police force.  It is not about nations.  It is about terrorists.  It is about preventing these terrorists from having the chance to re-group, re-focus, and commit another act of terror against thousands of lives.  It is about protecting our country from those who desire to destroy us.  We cannot afford to wimp out and let Syria off the hook.

If it was your home that the terrorists attacked, would you?   Would you trust the political games of the UN to protect your home?  The UN failed us.  They failed to do their job.  We gave them the chance.  They promised they would help us, but when push came to shove, they did not.  Many of us feel betrayed and would be more than happy to help them pack their bags and get out of this country at this point.  

It grieves me that you would pity us for living in a country whose president has it in his heart to protect his country, who is firm in his resolve to rid an evil from the earth.  If we let the terrorists go, do you honestly believe they'll leave the U.S. alone?  That they'll leave Europe alone?  That they'll leave Israel alone?  (No, not mentioned in your statement, but just something to think about.)

"Enforcing the "peace-treaty?"  That's all politics.  To us, the peace treaty is just a piece of paper.  Nearly 3000 lives were lost in one day for no other reason than to bring down a few buildings in an attempt to at minimum cripple this nation or at most to begin bringing it down.  This is what we see when we think of the terrorists in Syria.  "9-11: Never forget!"

BTW, if it wasn't for Sept. 11, I do not believe the president would have had the support from this country he needed to go after Saddam.  Likewise, because of Sept. 11, even his best supporters are going to be sorely against him if he doesn't do something about the terrorist problem in Syria.  

And who knows but that the purpose for the US in the Middle East is to open doors for the Gospel to be brought in like it never could before due to the Muslim-controlled governments?  Ah!  That would be exciting to see!
