I do not chose to go indept about this issue, because if I do that, I may go away from God's Word. So I simply believe what Jesus Said, This is my body, and this is my blood, when you do this do this in remembrance of me. He did not say this symbolizes my body, and this symbolizes my blood. He said this is my body, and this is my blood.

I too choose not to go in depth and will say that a few sentences before Jesus said it was His body and blood, hHe said He was the bread of life. So either Jesus was a piece of bread walking around or it was all symbolic. That is all I have to say about that. :t2:

Lu 22:19

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

1Co 11:24

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

1Co 11:25

In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

THANK YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST

ServingHim, a question; In the Mass, is the priest still the only one who drinks the wine or has that been changed? Do all partake of both the bread and the wine?

all are invited to receive Christ under both elements, the bread and the wine.

how is it a 'yolk' to DO THIS ...isn't "DOING THIS" a 'ritual'? SO simple, yet so many don't comply..they DON'T DO THIS for some reason...they concentrate on anything BUT "DO THIS". :t2:

And you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me always.  Ex 25:30

and the bread of the Presence...Ex 35:13

the table with all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; Ex 39:36

And over the table of the bread of the Presence... Num 4:7

So the priest gave him the holy bread; for there was no bread there but the bread of the Presence, 1 Sam 21:6

So Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the golden altar, the golden table for the bread of the Presence, 1 Kings 7:48

So Solomon made all the things that were in the house of God: the golden altar, the tables for the bread of the Presence, 2 Chron 4:19

how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, Matt 12:4

how he entered the house of God, when Abi'athar was high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, Mark 2:26

how he entered the house of God, and took and ate the bread of the Presence, Luke 6:4

Presence with a capital 'P' denotes God's PRESENCE...does it not?  Hmmmmm ... 'BREAD OF PRESENCE' as seen throughout the OLD TESTAMENT.  Does anyone deny that God was TRULY PRESENT as the Scriptures say He was...PRESENT in the BREAD...the "bread of Presence"?  Isn't that the MANNA they are talking about?  What about Jesus' words ...

31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, `He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'" 32 Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world." 34 They said to him, "Lord, give us this bread always." 35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.  John 6:31-35

4 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law or not. 5 On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily." 6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel, "At evening you shall know that it was the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, 7 and in the morning you shall see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your murmurings against the LORD. For what are we, that you murmur against us?" 8 And Moses said, "When the LORD gives you in the evening flesh to eat and in the morning bread to the full, because the LORD has heard your murmurings which you murmur against him -- what are we? Your murmurings are not against us but against the LORD."  Ex 16:4-8

53 So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; 54 he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever."  John 6:53-58

It is just so clear to me, IMHO ... :il:

do these scriptures mean anything? I believe they do...What IS the 'BREAD OF PRESENCE' spoken of in the OLD TESTAMENT?

So I simply believe what Jesus Said, This is my body, and this is my blood, when you do this do this in remembrance of me. He did not say this symbolizes my body, and this symbolizes my blood. He said this is my body, and this is my blood.

"Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, 'Take, eat; this is my body.' And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, 'Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.'" (Matthew 26:26-28)

God's love for us is poured out in the sacrament of the Eucharist, where Christ is truly present for us, giving us life and healing.

"I will not leave you desolate; I will come to you. John 14:18

A MUST READ to completely understand Christ's REAL PRESENCE in the Eucharist as shown through scriptures. For those who desire to know, read on...

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 :il:

-Assemble and come, gather from all sides to the sacrificial feast which I am preparing for you, a great sacrificial feast upon the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood. Ezek 39:17

EZEK.39-vss.17.thru.29-------

-And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl,

-and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather

-yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great

-sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

-Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes

-of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of

-Bashan.-And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of

-my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

-Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty

-men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

-And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall

-see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

-So the house of Israel shall know that I [am] the LORD their God from

-that day and forward.-And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went

-into captivity-for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid

-I my face-from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they

-all by the -sword.-According to their uncleanness and according to their

-transgressions -have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

-Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity

-of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for

-my holy name;-After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses

-whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land,

-and none made [them] afraid.

-When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them

-out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations

-Then shall they know that I [am] the LORD their God, which caused

-them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto

-their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

-Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit

-upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
