Time Travel Is Possible, Says Stephen Hawking

NewsCorp Australian Papers

Famed astrophysicist Stephen Hawking believes humans are capable of time travel -- and he's not afraid to let everyone know.

<snip>

Hawking said once spaceships were built that could fly faster than the speed of light, a day on board would be equivalent to a year on Earth. That's because -- according to Einstein -- as objects accelerate through space, time slows down around them.

Which also means that Hawking's theory only applies to moving forwards through time.

Moving backwards is impossible, Hawking says, because it "violates a fundamental rule that cause comes before effect."

If moving backwards through time was possible, a person could shoot their former selves.

Very interesting. I have read about something like that before. The problem with space travel is in some limitations in principle. They say to sustain life in real spacetravel a spaceship about the size of our planet is to be launched. Life can not be sustained within a spaceship for very many years. Frankly speaking I hope that we receive new bodies and eternal life fron the Living God before that (provided we deserve it).

But my wife says that the UFO is a kind of that travel by somebody.

Me--> Of course, what is not mentioned in the article is the probability of building a spaceship capable of traveling the speed of light. As far as our physics has determined, anything larger than a photon traveling at the speed of light would break apart (or disintegrate, or something like that).

good luck Mr. H :emot-highfive:

Technically though, that would not really qualify as time travel. At least, not as we think of it conventionally. Time travel into the future would assme that all human choices, decisions have already been pre-deterimined. It would assume that the future is already set in stone in terms of every action and decision of every person on the planet and that is just impossible.

Darn. And here I was hoping that I could one day travel into the future just to see how ugly and bitter I finally became. :emot-highfive:

Were it not for the fact that Mr. H said its not possible to travel backward, they could figure skated back. The only other thing they can do is join worthy and start a thread about what the future is like.

God will never allow anyone to travel time. We are supposed to trust Him to guide us and lead us, not jump into some space ship to see what direction we need to take.Besides, our physical bodies would never be able to handle anywhere near that kind of speed. We would die.

Actually, we don't need to travel into the future. Just read the book of Revelation to see how this story ends. :whistling:
