A Moral Debate: Why Capitalism is Best for America

It has a proven history of successfulness. It only breaks down when you have non-capitalist running the country. The history of this United States of America is proof of this.

All is designed with the the error of sin and the limitations it has placed upon our thinking! For the perfect economy is unknown while in this body in this world! The greatest horror of all is materialism in the perfected form of capitalism. It would seem that the system that made the majority hate this world and the things in this world would also cause the seeking for the promised hope that is in God's Word. These Scriptures form this opinion in me:

1 John 4:17

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

NKJV

Is this true we live as though we are in heaven with Him? This is us- we truly do not love the world or it's things?

1 John 2:15

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

NKJV

From the time we wake till we commit ourselves to His keeping in sleep do we value the eternal things set forth by God so as to form our understanding by the worthless things set aside for destruction?

Isa 55:1-3

55 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you

NKJV

We will be perfected in the striving to obtain the eternal not the temporary and to learn to hate sin in all its cleaver forms. Love Steven

The greatest horror? Are you serious, or exaggerating?

That people would for a Dandelion "the flower of grass" trade the eternity with God who but spoke it into existence! Serious as a heart attack!

How is a debate about capitalism a "moral" debate?

2nd paragraph/sentence of the article:

"As Washington liberals push hard to convert America into something less capitalist and more socialist, both camps of conservatives are realizing how a country runs its economy also has a huge impact on its social and moral issues."

Canada is very Capitalist in its economy and very easy to start a small business in.

Even so, the US would take a lot more legislation to get anywhere near where Canada is. I don't think anybody has to worry about some socialist takeover, if I don't have to.

:emot-highfive: I am not understanding what you are saying.

Capitalism only works if God is implemented in its every form and decision. His (God's) morality at best is seen in a glass darkly we are being renewed daily by His Word but the more we apply ourselves to the task the more we see how far we have fallen from the moral nature that is in Our Father and His Son and Spirit! What is a person who is busy all the time accumulating things? They are a capitalist and their right to pursue happiness right? The person who does not accumulate things but gives what He works for to others is what? A foolish capitalist? We have 70 years at best in this scenario before eternity in this scenario Isa 55. The rich man and Lazarus. The vineyard owner and hiring all different hours of the day and paying all the same. What is God trying to teach us? NOT TO LOVE MONEY OR THINGS BUT HIM! When we were glad our money stated IN GOD WE TRUST but now what is it? Our capitalism is not the founding patriots design it is now a promotion of idols and pleasure at the expense of God which it once was its very center. We have allowed ourselves to become consumed by things of temporary nature to be more important than things of eternity and to capitalize on such! The time of tribulation is at hand, the red sun is in our face and it is morning on the sea of God's Word! Love Steven
