Lets see... "Hi there! Good old South African bus service hey? It's a miracle when one arrives! And we spend so much time wasted time traveling on them. I see people just sitting staring ahead and I wonder what they are thinking about. I play a game in my head to pass the time, and I imagine what they are thinking, what sort of day they have had". "Like see that woman with the half smile on her face? I think she is going home to meet someone she loves. That guy with the scowl on his face? He's had a bad day at the office and I pray he does not carry that mood through the front door when he gets home" "Do you ever pray? I do it all the time. I use my time on the bus to pray thanks to Jesus for the day I have just had. Oh there were some rough spots, and some good ones, but all being said and done I know He was with me the entire time". "How do you feel about Jesus?" One has opened the door...... Or words to that effect

It hit me like a thunderclap. From that moment I've dedicated my life to honoring God. I'd be happy to share more with you.

Want to know more? Here's my cell phone number and lets meet here earlier tomorrow. Right out of the park, A.J.! I'm going to use this if the occasion presents itself. I don't use public transportation (in Houston?) but I can think of other scenarios where this would be great.

(not verbatim because my memory, you know ) I recall having an awareness of how unclean I was. The things I had done in my life were disgusting. I knew, truly knew that Jesus was pure and clean. Actually, I realized how sinful I was by seeing how pure He is. It was like shining a flashlight in the darkness and watching the bugs scatter, me being the bug. I knew He could forgive me, and that consumed me. I needed Him. I decided then to follow Him, and I've never looked back. You are truly inspired, trav. That is a great witnessing statement! Awesome! I am really inspired by y'all....I don't really have a testimony myself so I like to read those of others to understand coming to Christ (sometimes the hardest way imaginable). What do you say? What an intriguing question! I thought about it all day, and put my thoughts down in the lyrics to a song. Now, I've never written a song before, and the IS a first draft, but here goes: HOMEWORK PART B Standin at the bus stop 'bout a quarter to four In about two minutes, the driver's gonna pull up and open that door. You standin' next to me waitin' on the very same ride Is that apathy on your face, or pain, or foolish pride? Do you know Jesus, my Lord and my Savior? Have you heard his name, do you regard him with favor? How can I know what to say? Will I speak for Him today? Will my words speak light and truth Into a tortured, hurting soul all bruised? Is your heart all hardened and smashed Like a cold dark shard of glass? Or will you believe in the sacrifice Of Him who paid the price? Shall I softly hum "Amazing Grace" Or simply start with a smile on my face? As I close my eyes and silently pray 'Holy, awesome, Father God be with me this day Let your Holy Spirit's words to me come To tell this man of the love of your Son." God's answer came so swift and so clear "This man, my servant, is one I hold dear It doesn't matter what words you impart If you'll just start with love in your heart." Beautiful! Thanks for posting this, Danl.
