greetings Undecided, you say that the muslims do not worship mohommed, yet all thruout the Koran, the muslims are told to obey God and His Apostle.

If the Apostle is Mohommad, and not God, why would they obey him? He is just a man, right. Remember, they believe that God has no son.

here is an example:In Sura xxx111(The Confederates) quote30:

"And it is not for a believer, man or woman, to have any choice in their affairs, when God and His Apostle have decreed a matter: and whosoever disobeyeth God and His Apostle, erreth with palpable error."

And quotes like this are thruout the Koran. Its always about following and obeying God(ALLAH) and His Apostle. Sounds like they worship both to me.

Yes, in a sense theirs is a peaceful religion as long as you belong to that religon. But try and practice another religion in one of the many arab countries and see what you get. Its okay for Muslims here in America to worship the way they want because here in America we have this freedom to do so. But I am not allowed to worship Jesus the Christ, or practice Judaisim, or any other form of religious practice in the many different arab countries, as it might mean certain death for me.

As christians, we are commanded to pray for our enemies, not kill them. We also have the choice to follow Jesus or not. Not so among many muslims. If they decide to go out of their faith to worship something else besides Allah, they risk death.

I would that all men would seek and know Jesus as God, but if they chose not to, thats there choice. I do not judge them, Im commanded not to. I do not murder them, Im commanded not to.

I have the Koran. I bought it after the 9-11 attack. I wanted to know why they felt the way they do. I do not agree with it at all. There is nothing I find peaceful about it.

Undecided, may i ask why you call yourself that? And the frog part? Where does that fit in? Just curious. Oh yeah, and what brought you to worthyboards?

are you agnostic ? again, just trying to see what your beliefs are. Shalom

Dear Yahsway,

This is just my opinion, and if you don't like it, you may disregard it. DISCLAIMER: I am not a christian.

Yes, muslims feel that Mohammed is a prophet, but not God. They listen and obey Mohammed's teaching as if he is an apostle. Similarly, most christians accept, listen and obey Jesus' apostles' teachings. Why do you think they worship apostles? Do you worship Jesus' apostles? Please quote where in the Quran it says to worship the apostle as God.

Do not concern yourself too much about my name. It is a nickname given to me by MSN, and I have used it ever since. I had a choice between UndecidedFrog and RustyNail. I came to WorthyBoards by way of WorthyChat. My original intention of going to WorthyChat was to make friends and to see the range of beliefs christians have and how christians behave toward unbelievers like me.

are you agnostic ? again, just trying to see what your beliefs are. Shalom

Yes, I am an agnostic, one who has no knowledge of the existence of any deity. I am also an atheist, one who has no beliefs in any deity.

Peace to you also.

Dear Gladiator4God,

This is just my opinion. You need not accept it if you disagree with it. DISCLAIMER: I am not a christian.

As I have defined it, I am both.

Yes, I am an agnostic, one who has no knowledge of the existence of any deity. I am also an atheist, one who has no beliefs in any deity

There are some who have no knowledge but believe, and there are some (like me) who have no knowledge and do not believe.

Some etymology:

A = without

Gnostic = knowledge

Theism = god belief

Dear Anonymous,

This is just my opinion. If you don't agree, you don't need to accept it. DISCLAIMER: I am not a christian.

No animosity inferred. I was told (PMed) that this is indeed a christian board, but one that also welcomed others who are not christian. With that broad welcome, I thought I would join. My intentions, I think I stated before, but here they are again:

I came to WorthyBoards by way of WorthyChat. My original intention of going to WorthyChat was to make friends and to see the range of beliefs christians have and how christians behave toward unbelievers like me

Please tell me that I am not mistaken that all are welcome on this board. I really would be embarassed if this is a board and community exclusively for christians only. All you need to tell me is that it is so, and I will leave in peace.

Thank you for your kind concern.

Regards,

I was not implying that you are not welcome at WorthyBoards! You are most certainly welcome here!

What I was doing was asking these questions for my own benefit, because I was not understanding your reasons for posting here. I also was having a hard time understanding that if you are not interested in Christian fellowship... then what , if any thing, were you wanting us to understand about your posts!

I have read your DISCLAIMER... but as a fellow poster... my DISCLAIMER: icon11.gif I feel I still have the right to ask you, like would I ask anyone else about their posts I didn't understand!

Thank you for responding back and providing some answers!

Blessings sent with Love~

Dear Anonymous and Gladiator4God,

Anonymous, you certainly have the right to ask any question you wish, and I will try my best to answer them. Please let me know if I have not been successful. I shall keep trying to the best of my ability.

Gladiator4God, you and I had a private conversation about my disclaimer above. I though I had satisfactorily explained my position, and that I continue with the disclaimer as part of a promise I made to an admin. I am truly sorry if you take offense to it. It was not meant to be offensive.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
