I know Wikipedia is not that reputable, but we can start here ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_and_anthropogenic_disasters_by_death_toll

They are correct. Religion is man trying to reach God through their own understanding and because of this, they fall short of being real Christ centered believers. There is no reason to defend religion, but do defend our relationship with God. Remind your group of the difference between the two and show them that true Christ centered believers bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. To show them scripture describing the two, read them Galatians 5:16-26 (New King James Version)

Walking in the Spirit

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ

My posts only go back to Jan 19th of this year. I can not look any further back.

Nooooo

I wonder if all of our posts are like that. It would stink if so. I have years of posts I wish to look at.

I just tried to search my posts. I can only go back to June 10th 2010. It seems that 40 pages of results is all I can search through. They didnt disappear. My first post ever here is my testimony and that is still online.

Yep - ever since the last upgrade we can't pull up all our posts. They either end at 1000 posts or a date, whichever comes first. They are still there, we just can't pull them up. :(

I think you can get certain old ones if you have a specific thing to search for.

Yes, you can, but I still could not find what I was looking for. :noidea:

I'll have to try again later now that I know it works. Thanks Sis!

I used the advance search

Typed "war" for the word search

Typed "OneLight" for the author

Checked "Forums" for search

Checked "Show results as posts"

Here is the last page of the search:

It goes back to 2007.

Yeah, but it is not there. It could be in a deleted thread, which I cannot see.

The subject was about the statistics between those who had died for religious reasons and those who died for secular reasons, all in wars throughout history. I have tried a few combination's and still come up empty. :noidea:
