Religion is man trying to reach God through their own understanding and because of this, they fall short of being real Christ centered believers. There is no reason to defend religion, but do defend our relationship with God. Remind your group of the difference between the two and show them that true Christ centered believers bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. To show them scripture describing the two, read them Galatians 5:16-26 (New King James Version) Walking in the Spirit I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. They either end at 1000 posts or a date, whichever comes first. They are still there, we just can't pull them up. I think you can get certain old ones if you have a specific thing to search for. I have tried a few combination's and still come up empty.
