Guest
I'm starting to believe that there are people who rarely go outdoors.......day or night. :24: Starting? I've met many of them here. People - especially city dwellers - rarely look up unless its at a sign or traffic light. Many kids go from home to school and back with very little time spent outdoors . . . and then stay inside playing video games.

Apparently during the Northridge quake, all of Las Angeles lost its lights. The sky was darker then it had been in decades. During this time the Griffith Observatory was flooded with calls about the strange lights in the sky. Eventually the astronomers figured out what the people were calling about, as their instruments did not find anything unusual. Brace yourself.... The strange lights in the night sky?... Stars. The people of L.A. Had never seen them due to the light pollution!!!... That is a bit scary, and I am glad I have lived outside of light pollution most my life! :24:
