You dont need those things, but they are not evil.

You speak of hypnotism as if it was evil. If you say its evil because the bible doesnt speak of it, then soda cans are evil too.

Your at war huh? I think your at war with yourself then. You make your own enimy if you think satan is realy lurking behind every corner.

oh-kay...

I know Im going to be verbaly abused for this, but have you ever thought that silent prayer is in itself magic? You impressing your will onto something, and communicating with an entity more powerfull than yourself, sometimes asking things of him. That is the makings of a spell, Im sorry to say.

Maybe you should read The Bible, and then maybe you will have something to say. I can only pray that God will open your eyes to some things that you need to be aware of. Do you read your posts before you send them? Or maybe you can explain to us the likeness of soda cans, and hypnotizm? I made it pretty clear that there are good uses for hypnotizm, and there are bad uses. Do you read what people post or are you here just to argue with other posters?

Apology accepted, and I ask you to forgive me also if I came off too harsh. Dipomacy is not one of my strong suits. I do believe that hypnosis has saved the lives of some people who could only have life saving surgery through hypnosis, but I see no value in it for the Christian who is totally dependant upon God in all things. And for a Christian to study it just for knowledge of to me is a difinate wast of time, and an act of disobedience to God.

The term 'hypnosis' is applied to a method of approach to a set of human behaviors that exist in all normal people. These behaviors are ways that

human consciousness produces what we call 'mind'... 'awareness'. Its a

function of 'knowing' and 'not knowing' something. The way these behaviors are configured... in terms of hypnotic techniques... determines the kinds of mental

FOCUS achieved... usually in terms of the goals of therapy.

I agree that only those skilled in technique and knowledgable about psychological theory may approach this with the best risk management tools.

There is a national organization called Positive Changes that hires anyone able to obtain a passing grade on a credentialling test to become a certified hypnotist. Most of these lack backgrounds in medicine, or clinical psychology and I have wondered if they are able to recognize and curtail serious damages resulting from their manipulation of a person's psychology. None of these 'clinics' advertise the presence of licensed AMA/APA oversight, or supervision. Its dangerous to remove a symptom (obesity/smoking...etc) without careful review of WHY exactly the symptom is there to begin with. Often when a symptom is removed something WORSE takes its place. I have heard 'Better the devil you know than the one you don't." Of course ANY kind of devil is bad.

Again... my view of this is that psychological response to hypnotic technique is very similar in kind to physical/motor response to the technique of a judoka.

Some are very adept at knowing HOW to best direct human movement toward a specific goal: a throw, for instance as in JUDO.

Propogandists and advertisers and marketing specialists and others ALL use a grab bag of appeals and techniques suited to their special interest.

Ever find yourself responding to a sales pitch over a speaker at the market and wondered as you loaded the sacks of food into your car WHY did you buy all these widgets and meat cuts when you live ALONE?

The suseptability to suggestion lays at the core of the human response to social interaction.

I have listened to formal lectures in schools by clinicians who have sat in religious services conducted by Benny Hinn, Ernest Angley, Oral Roberts ... toname a few..

These did a formal review of the many hypnotic induction techniques deliberately used by some to induce cooperation in an audience. These clinicians also researched political messages making use of the same persuasive techniques. Often being informed and conscious of the tricks of Saten enables one to avoid becoming a victim of hucksters and charlatons who abuse ignorant people. Now. REAL FAITH and those who serve a ministry devoted to the GOOD of people in the name of God is another matter altogether. The Bible commands Christians to discern between good and evil. There is a way appropriate to scripture that the Christian can be guarded from the spirit of error and its manifestations (infestations). It is important not to bury the head in the sand that is growing from your shoulders. Education does have value. Be informed and be prepared.

Knowedge is real Power when God has given it to you for response as led by the Holy Ghost.

I am curious about the identity of a topic that is without controversy...?

Clear dialog between honest individuals is a constructive activity if someone learns something useful about living a holy life. God Bless you...

One may not be efficient in living without care about CLEAR thinking. One learns how to to this by practise. The most learned individual attains that position by a willingness to engage mistakes during a process of investigation of what is true or not. Blessings to all honest seekers of the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
