Another thing I do not understand is what kind of food the lions, tigers, polar bears, etc. ate during that year.

After Jesus Returns

there are ALOT of things in the bible that i dont understand and hard to get my head around, but i do know this god is all powerful and sovereign. so god can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. as for the flood account for all we know god could of recreated some animal and plant species after the flood, i haven't read anything in the bible to contradict this imo.
