The news said that Japan admitted that TEPCO has lied to them about the power plant, that it is worse off than they have been told.

Not good.

A glimmer of hope. :emot-pray:

Also, a defense against those who want to end nuclear power.

I watched an interview with a plant manager at the plant down between LA and San Deigo and he said that they had forsceen the possibliity of a plant blackout and they had enough off site generators to run the plant off site but easily moven into place should something happen to the backups that are on site. And they had the proper plugs on them so as to not be a problem to make work.

Interesting that we would think of such a thing and not share it with the Japanese. especially since the facilities are right on the coast and pretty much at sea level.

It's kind of hard to stop a 30 foot wall of water....

I still have a lot more questions than answers..... why didn't someone try and fix the generators, or just haul in some new ones and hard wire them into the system.... question after question....
