I think that Jesus knew that the Pharises were envious; I think Jesus knew that these men had followed and seen things that only God could do! I think Jesus knew that these men knew God was really working miracles through Jesus, and the Apostles through Jesus Name. So Jesus saw in their hearts that they were deliberately calling what they themselves witnessed to be from God,( the miracles, words, and fruit of the Spirit) Evil ! They were knowingly calling the Holy, evil, to protect their own ministries! Woe to them that call good evil, and evil, good!

Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is a deliberate act of calling the working of God through the Holy Spirit, evil, or from the devil.

That takes a very prideful, envious, and hateful heart to blaspheme the Holy Spirit; it's deliberate and very hard for a true Christian to commit.

Many people think that these tv evangelist/prophets/healers, are bogus, maybe even from the devil! Maybe they even think these ministers are Satans decieving ministers of righteousness , with lying signs and wonders, and these ministers know their master is the Devil!

But you see this really could be true! And some of these ministers really are now allowed to do signs and even miracles to decieve Christians!

Now its best not to accuse them since there is no true biblical order in most of these churches to call them to account; they would just throw you out!

But if someone did call them out being convinced they were false and needed to be exposed; even if this man was wrong in his accusation ; he has commited an offence and a sin, but he did not knowingly call the working of the Holy Spirit , Evil ! This man was decieved; but it's been more often than not today that the stuff we see on tv is at best bad doctrine, but there is so much counterfeit garbage, the true Holy people of God are very hard to find.

Blessings to you all.

Very well put.

I think this is a great post and you are right on!

Matt 12:24-25 says it right there

"Now when the pharisees heard it they said, 'This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the prinice of demons.' But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: 'Every kingdom......" (bold mine)

The pharisees were being very deliberate, they weren't speculating, they knew who Jesus was, but deliberately called him the opposite of what he was.

This is what my parish priest told me when I asked him what the unpardonable sin was:

There are six sins that offend the Holy Spirit. These are:

(1) Despair,

"By despair, man ceases to hope for his personal salvation from God, for help in attaining it or for the forgiveness of his sins. Despair is contrary to God's goodness, to his justice - for the Lord is faithful to his promises - and to his mercy."

(2) Presumption of God's mercy,

"There are two kinds of presumption. Either man presumes upon his own capacities, (hoping to be able to save himself without help from on high), or he presumes upon God's almighty power or his mercy (hoping to obtain his forgiveness without conversion and glory without merit)."

(3) Impugning the known truth,

(Clarification: To "impugn" the known truth means to attack it by word or argument, to resist it, to contradict it, or even to oppose the known truth or to challenge it as false.)

(4) Envy the spiritual good of another,

(Clarification: Regarding the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians states, "All these are activated by one and the same Spirit, who allots to each one individually as the Spirit chooses." To envy the spiritual good of another is to question the Divine judgment of the Holy Spirit in His distribution of spiritual gifts. It is to be jealous of another person who has a gift different than one's own gift. Through envy, one rejects the gift that he has received from the Holy Spirit, determining in his own mind that the gift he has received is not good enough for him and he wants someone else's gift.)

(5) Obstinacy in sin,

(Clarification: To be "obstinate" means to resist the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, to be stubborn, to persist in sin, to be unyielding.)

(6) Final impenitence.

(Clarification: "Impenitence" means to be uncontrite, unrepentant, hardened, unconverted, to be without regret, shame or remorse.)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
