Politics will not in and of themselves solve America's problem. America's problem is at its core spiritual. When America honored God, America prospered. Now America does her own thing and the God the people so despise is judging the nation for it.

Repentance, not crocodile tears and sorrow we got caught, but a true turning around with the national works to show it, will bring America back. Simply reading the Bible and praying on the part of a few honest Christian people will not solve the matter either. Works show intent. If America is saying "we're sorry" and still doing the same thing, then the God of the universe has every right to disregard our pleas before his throne. If Americans are saying "I'm sorry" but still allowing aborticide, homo 'marriage', fornicating like dogs and cats, political corruption and basically throwing their middle finger in the air at the One who made them, they have no reason to believe that God is going to stop His very obvious judgment... and EVERY reason to believe that it will get worse.

Sodom and Gomorrah got burned into oblivion for their selfishness (which ultimately manifested itself in rampant homosexuality and fornication); why do Americans think that they are protected simply because the US throws Israel a few bones? It's said that you can fool some of the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you can't fool ALL the people ALL the time: YOU CAN'T FOOL GOD AT ANYTIME.

No man will bring America out of this. No political candidate will bring us out of this. Ultimately, we the people have brought this end upon ourselves. Liberal candidates certainly haven't helped, but it's not ALL their fault. If we the people didn't elect these people, they wouldn't be there. Why does everyone continue to hope that America will return to her roots?

Fact is: America is prophesied to be "diminished in power", and her citizens have brought this upon themselves. Fact is: the foundation of faith is the family. Currently, parents are not instilling in their children the fear of the Lord, or the knowledge of right and wrong; good and evil. It is said," teach them in the way they should go and they will never depart from it". Truth being, as parents, we Americans have grown spoiled in our freedoms, and listened to too many liberal intents, and have failed our parenting responsibility to instill in our children the knowledge of Jesus Christ and The Faith. We ONLY are to blame for what is happening in America. We are a nation of people who, jaded by our own good fortunes, have turned-away from the Lord and are constantly seeking pleasures, as a nation living in denial of God and / or carelessly towards God. As a result, God has lifted his protection from us. He is not bringing down judgment on us, because frankly, Satan is good at doing that.

We need to stop living in denial that this country has lost it's way in the desert of the world. We exist in a new wilderness. Yet there is a multitude of Americans who have listened to Christ and are holding true to The Faith until the end. It is those true believers who will be protected by the Lord.

DO NOT foolishly put your faith into America any longer. Rather, put your faith into the One who allowed her to rise to her greatness in years past, and who is also the same One who has lifted his protection from her for her carelessness towards him.

America as we once knew it in her greatness, IS HISTORY.

Join the worldly Brotherhood of Faith! Therein lies our real allegiance, from here on in, especially as we move forward towards the fulfillment of the end time events. For those that will be found worthy to come into the kingdom shall come from every people, tribe, kindred, tongue, ethnic group and nation on earth.

BoldBeliever, I agree with your assesment of our situation. We have thumbed our nose at God and have not gotten away with it. Now we are in the process of becoming statist, which totally prempts God. They, those against God, do not want a parallel society even as Hitler did not. Soon we will not be able to homeschool any more, then our children will be lost to us. We are in deep trouble and no one can any longer deny that as fact.

I am not convinced that repentance is impossible, I am becoming convinced that Americans will not do it. This is not from Satan, it's FROM God. Satan is nothing more than a tool in God's hand. If anything happens to America, it comes from God. I suspect that just as Joi has said, if the country is not destroyed by its enemies (which is usually a last stage judgment) that it will become either fascist or socialist.

I am new to all this, this is my first reply so Hello all......

Though I agree with MOST of what you say, I must confess I don't think we are the hopeless case you make us out to be....

I don't limit God , I TRUST Him in every way possible, and when it comes to rather the USA will fall, get cut off at the knees or stand a little longer, I have HOPE that we will *stand a little longer*...... Long enough at least for those of us who do place our FULL trust in God, to change what we can through prayer....

I read a reply that says *prophecy says* this or that about America, I have studied the Bible from one end to the other, done many different studies over the years, and have NOT found one word about America .... Not one..... I would love to know where they get that from ????

My faith says, we stand a fighting chance through prayer...... My faith says , I am a Child of God and as such I do have the power of the Throne, as Jesus does, to stand firm against satan and fight this.....

I am not nor have ever been, *into politics*, I pay little attention, maybe I should, but I don't, I simply PRAY for God's hand and guidiance in ALL matters of country, state, etc.....

i think you and others are *dooms daying* America a tad early..... Yes, we are failing as a nation to keep God first, but as individuals with the Power of the Throne, we have the duty to stand firm and pray .....

Welcome to the Forums!

What happens is some people believe that America is either Babylon or one of the Beasts in Revelation. Wither that or America has to be removed from the picture for these things to happen. Thus "prophecy."

I am guessing they are tagging the timing to be about now on account of the restoration of Israel being a sign of the End Times, and the blossoming of the fig tree that Jesus mentioned, meaning we are nearing the end of the "generation."

I'm not arguing either of these points, just presenting in a nut shell the common arguments. (Although I can't vouch for what any particular poster in question stands by.)

But I am blessed by your hope and intercessions!
