Are We Being Hypocrites?

Any mention of judging must include these verses:

Philippians 1:

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Galatians 5:

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

First here in Matthew it says..

Matthew 5:43

[ Love Your Enemies ] “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

And there are plenty more scriptures on this.

First off who is the enemy that is referred? Is it just Satan? Or is it anyone that does not believe in the Lord?

Both or more to it?

Then it says here

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

New King James Version (NKJV)

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Now when it speaks of not being with these kinds of people and yet we are to love our enemies. Are any of these people whom are described in 1 Cor. our enemy? Are we being hypocrites if we love our enemy which if it is the above described?

Yet here in..

Luke 6:37

[ Do Not Judge ] “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Yet now we are not to judge others but aren’t to be associated with the unrighteous. So how can we not be judging others if still trying to do the righteous work of God?

For example I’m sure we know someone that may be homosexual.. This person can be a relative or a very good friend of yours.

If the person is a relative and they are not thinking in any way of stopping this abomination of the Lord then are we to treat them like an enemy and judge them by it?

Here I go again not realizing if I’m phrasing this correctly..

I will do my best to answer if someone thinks that my question is not phrased right if you want to know what I’m trying to say about something.

When we try to assume what is being meant and it’s not correct it can stir a whole pot of soup that doesn’t need stirring.

I’m not intending for this to be offensive in any way.

I’ve been plagued with this question and was never sure if I should ever post it.

I think God is nudging me now because he is trying to give me my answer.

Please try to make your answers simple. My understanding is not all that great.

What measuring stick do we use to judge? We can only judge others using the same standard that God will use to judge us, His rules. It is only because of Yeshua that we can even begin to judge anyone else, and we must use His rules to do so by since He has declared them the only righteous way of life. The idea that we judge seems to many that we are allowed to judge and convict which I don't believe is a biblical concept at all. if we see a fellow brother or sister doing something terribly wrong we would go to the person and speak to them, but Matt. 7:1-2 shows us that at the end of the day whatever means we use to judge others will be used to judge us as well.
