In an interesting area that discussed a method of bringing the gospel to muslims I could not reply because of a restriction based on numbers of postings, it would appear. I do not understand the restriction, is a person less qualified because they have posted less, and if I posted a large number of posts, am I now more qualified? Anyway...

In fact we have found at times the opposite, that we need to encourage the person not to reject his culture and thereby burn bridges with his past."

I have ministered a lot on the reservation, and I have seen the problem that was created with blending traditional religions with the gospel. Soon you have a hodge podge of sweat lodge, Great White Spirit, Jesus also stuff, and most of these precious people (I do love them very much) wind up drunk and discouraged.

The gospel confronts tradition, culture, and family, requiring a choice for Jesus and against the opinions of men,and yes, there will be families that kill their own that convert to Jesus, expecially from the Muslim background, but that is the call.

The reason that you are hated of all nations for His name's sake is not because you are now kind, honest, merciful, and gentle, but because you hold a truth that exalts Jesus Christ and the blood bought gospel above all authorities, above tradition, above family, and above all that there is.

The damage done by watering down the call to be seperate is that once dismissed, the seperation that is so very necessary is almost never revisited, and the result is a perverse blend that does not truely save, deliver, nor set free.

It's not so much about being more "qualified" to me. I mean, in reality, someone who is 12 years old and may know nothing on the subject could post there simply because they have posted 100 times in the Story Game thread in Fellowship Hall.

I think the restriction is more there for the "newbies" so they can get a better sense of the board, how it works, and well, for the moderators to get to know you. It's not a punishment or a elite club or anything like that, but it's a good way to keep out trolls. (or those who just want to post mean and terrible things in topics that are worthwhile but controversial.) Most trolls aren't going to stick around long enough to post 100 times so they can post in controversial issues. Most trolls are only around for the night (or I guess sometimes day) and will give up if they are restricted in some way.

Because Worthy is a Christian Ministry, there are many types of people who come to the board to cause trouble and stir up anger. And many will only do it for their night's entertainment. And I think the 100 posts is a good way to deter from that.

So take this time to get to know who we are and we will take that 100 posts to get to know who you are (that always a good thing!). For me, I guess, the more posts I read from a person, the more I feel like I know them, so that when an debate DOES start, I will think twice about saying something that may have a little bite to it, because I do have a sense of friedship with them

This may not be the offical stance from the moderators - it's just how I feel about it, and my unxerstanding of the reason.

Welcome to Worthy. We look forward to getting to know you!

Your right rocks, except with one thing that I should make clear before anothertraveler goes off to do it. You can post a million times in the fellowship hall and it won't increase your post count! :D Been there, tried that as a newbie many months ago! :P

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
