God's will is for men to be in control, but sometimes they do not fullfill what they are supposed to.

Can I just say control and authority are two diferent things. No one should ever control.

I hear you Naomi. Being that I am married, and I am guessing by Tess's age she isn't. That it is hard to understand the dynamics until you are here. I didn't understand it for the first couple years of my marriage.

Control is a selfish act, having authority is an honor. God bestows Spiritual Authority to our husbands as a gift and responsibility to be the spiritual leaders of our households. He does not give control. He is in Control!

You know Koppen, for someone who said they were bowing out, not trying to argue, and not trying to change people's minds, you sure are still posting a lot in this thread.

I posted up above as why chose to remove myself from the discussion..I just ask that you respect that because I felt I should remove myself before I allowed myself to get into the flesh and say something that I would regret ..as I did when I spoke to you SJ when I apologized to you...Yes it did come through and I again apologize for that....

You know I just posted this in another thread but I think it pertains here too. The question was: Why do Christians believe differently?

We are human. Born into sin and only saved by grace. All we can do is live for Christ. Sure I disagree with people pn here, but I think that the basic things that are necessary to salvation we all agree on.

1- God came to us in the form of Jesus

2- Who died on the cross for our sins and rose again.

3- We must repent of our sins and dedicate our lives to the Lord

4 - We must live a daily life dying to self and glorifying God as best we can by reading the scriptures, praying and fellowshipping with fellow believers.

The rest is semantics. God will deal with those other minute issues later. He spells it out really well. God will convict those of the sins in their life that are hindering their walk with Him. If that person chooses not to listen then it will be dealt with at judgement. But God will judge us by the sins we commit physically and in our heart that we have let get in the way.

We will be judged by what we know. I know that God has called me to be a minister and I followed that will. He has called us to so much more though. And to get hung up on semantics and scripture picking is only taking the focus off God and onto ourselves to prove ourselves right. God will allow His spirit to work in all of us and convict and move in our lives in a way that will compell us to do away with sin, especially perpetual sin so that he may draw us closer.

If God has laid it upon your heart to become a pastor again, then I say go for it. I have always told my husband and friends when they come to me for advice, walk in a direction that you feel God is leading you, if that is not what he wants for you pray that he will close the doors, and if it is to open them. You will get your answer. God will deal with the hearts of others. People will be touched by your humbleness and servanthood to Christ, and I believe this will be a non-issue.

PLUS - That is one verse in a chapter and book of many more. Context my friend. Pray, pray , pray, it will never hurt to just take it back to the Lord every moment that you feel it take ahold of your mind. I know the struggle. I am a woman, I am an ordained minister. I have never questioned my call, it has never been an issue for me or anyone in my church. But I came here and there is such a controversy, but the controversy doesn't sway me, If it happens, it will be Christ. He has only confiirmed this calling of rmy life over and over through all of the discussions on this subject.

God will give you the words you need. He will provide you with the road to walk down. I say start moving in a direction back to pastorhood, and if it is God's will it will happen, and if not, he will have something even better for you!

I do believe that! GBU

No teaching in Christ is semantics they are part of remaining in Him.

It is a fact Tess..I am not here to fight and argue

I'm sorry, but your actions show otherwise.

You are a much younger than I and so is your brother....RESPECT is all I will say...

Respect is earned, that is all I will say...

You DO NOT know my heart or who I am as well hun.

Do you not see the irony in your statement? Neither do you know my heart or Super Jew's..yet you said he had "an argumentative spirit".

I have come to this thread and posted how I believe and was IMMEDIATELY jumped on like I had walked into a den of tigers

Sorry, I still don't see it. I saw scripture put forth and your beliefs questioned, and proceeded to watch you flip out.

out of respect held my tongue and responded without trying to invoke a FIGHT!...I will not enter into that kind of discussion with a brother or sister in Christ or even a person whom is not saved..PERIOD!.

Um...exactly when did you hold your tongue? I keep seeing you post in this thread. I'm confused.

I STAND FIRM ON WHERE I STAND NO MATTER WHAT...IF I AM WRONG THEN I WILL ANSWER TO GOD WHEN HE RETURNS OR IF I GO BEFORE THEN AND THE SAME GOES FOR EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU.

Did you know that when communicating via the internet, typing in caps is the equivalent to shouting? And you're telling others they have an argumentative spirit? Sister, I think it would be wise to step back and breathe, relax and examine things for a bit. I've seen you post before and have never noticed you to be this hostile. I'm not saying that to be mean, but hopefully to show you how you're coming across.

Sometimes even Christians decide to not follow the words of Christ and the doctrines which He taught about life and love. Sometimes Christians even become obsessed with disputing and arguing about words--the teachings of Jesus, the doctrines of God throughout the Bible, or even just words. They just want to dispute and argue. Paul warned Timothy that such rejection of the teachings of Christ and such arguing can lead to all sorts of problems--eventually even to Hell. He warned Timothy to withdraw from/avoid such people so as to not get caught up in the force of gravity of their sinful ways.

Sometimes Christians go so far with their disputing and arguing ways that they even begin to reject authority and to speak evil of people--even their fellow Christians. James taught that speaking evil of a brother in Christ is really speaking evil of God. It is the ultimate expression of a lack of faith in God and puts such an evil-speaking person in eternal danger. But Christians don

Control is authority, and those who are God's servants His apostles should be listened to, and obeyed, they speak the Word's of God, and do His will, and the apostles say, man is to be in charge, and women are to obey, now if a man is disobedient to God, and asks to do things which are wrong, then, they do not have the ability, or the right to control, or have the authority to tell women what to do, but if they are right women should obey, and men also should obey.

In another thread the discussion is doctrine. We are warned that doctrine is to be guarded and contended for. That in the last days, days I believe we are in, men would NOT endure sound doctrine. All scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righeousness. I light of this what does this passage tell us to hold on to and contend for, and also warn us about to protect us from undound doctrine.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
