America, as an aside, fell into the trap forewarned in Deuteronomy 28.

Listen to Deuteronomy 28

Deuteronomy 28 (KJV)

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.

22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:

29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.

30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.

31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.

32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.

33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:

34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.

39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.

41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.

42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.

43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:

51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.

52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.

53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:

54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:

55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.

56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,

57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.

58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;

59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.

61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.

63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:

67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

The above verses are the terms of our Contract/Covenant with God, also known as "The Blessings and the Curses of The Law".

The blessings are for following The Law, and the curses are the penalty clause for not following The Law/keeping the Covenant.

There is no doubt these are the end times and that TRUE Israel, the British and American people, are NOT living by The Law (found in the first five books of the Bible) and as a result are suffering under the penalty clause of The Law.

For those of you that think you are free, think again. We have all been made slaves to debt for not following The Law, just as Father forewarned us in The Law. The sad part is most are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the beast system that they will actually fight to protect the very system that is enslaving us all.

If you think that you aren't party to the Contract/Covenant with God, please read the verses below:-

Deuteronomy 29:9-15

29:9 Keep therefore the words of this Covenant, and DO them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.

29:10 Ye stand this day all of you before the "I AM" your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, [with] all the men of Israel,

29:11 Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that [is] in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:

29:12 That thou shouldest enter into Covenant with the "I AM" thy God, and into His Oath, which the "I AM" thy God maketh with thee this day:

29:13 That He may establish thee to day for a people unto Himself, and [that] He may be unto thee a God, as He hath said unto thee, and as He hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob/Israel.

29:14 Neither with you only do I make this Covenant and this Oath;

29:15 But with [him] that standeth here with us this day before the "I AM" our God, and also with [him] that [is] not here with us this day [thy children, in PERPETUITY]:

We are ALL party to the Covenant/Contract with God and we have been provided with many warnings over the past 6000 years so none of us have any excuses. For those that mistakenly think Christ came to destroy The Law, that isn't true at all. Christ told us very clearly that The Law IS STILL IN EFFECT TODAY, and will be FOREVER:-

Matthew 5:17-20

5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy The Law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no way pass from The Law, till all be fulfilled.

5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least COMMANDments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of heaven.

5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall EXCEED [the righteousness] of the lawyers and politicians, ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of heaven.

The ONLY solution out of this mess that we have created through our disobedience to God and His Perfect Law of Liberty is to REMEMBER and return to The Law (Malachi 4). Whether people realise it or not, we are between a Rock (God's Law) and a hard place (the NWO and their population reduction agenda...please see the #1 edict on the Georgia Guidestones @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones). And if the NWO doesn't get you, the Rock will.

Signs of the Times:-

Peace be upon you,

Even before I became a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ I had a strange and strong feeling that the end times are very near. I kept getting thoughts about how the end would play out, when it would come and what my part would be in all of it. After becoming a believer, this didn't change. The feeling of the end just got stronger and it became even clearer that I would be playing a very important role when the end came.

I have had several prophetic dreams which a strong Christian friend of mine interpreted for me and according to him it would seem that my job will be to attempt to warn and save people during the 7 years of tribulation. Much to my dismay, I would probably be ignored until my death which I strongly feel will occur right after the mid point of the tribulation when the antichrist sits on God's throne and claims he is God. I often imagine myself being brutally slain with swords, though perhaps that is just my own imagination coming up with a "cool" way to perish.

The past few months I have been seeing many signs of the end and have found myself searching for answers more than ever. It appears that many of the prophesies are coming true and yet people are just laughing them off, blaming them on more worldly and scientific causes. It actually incites anger in me when I think of all the people who ignore the signs and often I feel like shouting out at people, though I have refrained so I don't get called a mad-man and thrown away.

I am convinced the end will begin either this month or some time early next year and will persist onward into 2018. I'd like to get some opinions on this from you guys. What are your thoughts on the end times, the second coming of Christ, the Rapture and all of that stuff?

I too believe we are in the end times but also no the 7 year tribulation cannot take place until the rapture takes place.

I talk to people and ask what they believe in and most have no idea.

They believe in god but donot know the gospel of salvation.

In fact asking so called christians and they to do not know how to be saved.

Some say just believe in god...others say allow jesus into your heart....these are not the gospel of salvation.

the bible teaches when the end of the gentiles is fulfilled the true believers shall be raptured out of here and by the answers people give me...it tells me the time is near.

I believe that when the rapture takes place and all believers are gone...that the world will come together to try and find and explanation to it all...and at that time peace will come to the middle east.

then after the 3 and half years..then destruction will come....

Why not believe God instead?

Where does God tell us that there will be a "rapture" please?

The truth is ALL of us will stand before God in Judgment SOON. There will be absolutely NO exceptions. So what we should really be thinking about is doing everything we can to serve God and the greater good instead of our "selves", which begins by living (by living...believing) His Perfect Law of Liberty (found in the first five books of the Bible).

He told us very plainly that just before Judgment Day He would send us Elijah the prophet to remind us to return to The Law given to us for our own good (Malachi 4) or that things would continue to get worse and He would have to burn up those that refused to return to God and His Law.

Christ (the Spirit-Being) while He was here in the body of Jesus 2000 years ago made it clear that NO ONE has ascended to heaven except for Him (John 3:13). Believe Christ and God instead of those who whisper the smooth sayings in your ears that there will be a rapture and that we can all continue doing what is right in our own eyes instead of what is right in God's Eyes.

Please see the following scriptural explanation of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse and find out who the Two Witnesses are @

2 Peter 3:3-4

Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

How in the world can you be warning people during the imagined seven year tribulation period if you are saved today? Or are you an unsaved person because no saved person will be left on earth after after Jesus comes for us. :noidea: :noidea: :noidea:

I always tell people this. When we see a new Jewish temple on the temple mount, then we can say the end is near. 2 Thess say that the antichrist will sit in the temple of God showing himself as if he is God so there must be a temple of God for the antichrist to sit in before this prophecy can be fulfilled and the temple of God has always been located in the same place IE "The Temple Mount"

Why would anyone assume they were saved when Christ has told us that NO ONE has gone to heaven except for Him (John 3:13)?

Isn't that the height of arrogance considering Jesus COMMANDED us not to judge, even ourselves (Matthew 7:1)?

We should be learning humility (Proverbs 22:4). None of us get to mark our own scorecards. That's Christ's job (John 5:22).

Shalom, voiceof1 and JohnDB.

47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;

29:14 Neither with you only do I make this Covenant and this Oath;

Whereas to keep God's Law in spirit is a good thing, you are not BOUND to keep it. Unless you have entered into covenant with God to keep the Law He established with the nation of Isra'el, the Law has no power over you! As a Messianic Jew, even I am not duty-bound to keep it. We have been freed from the Law! We keep the Law because we WANT TO PLEASE HIM, not because we HAVE to!

Romans 7:1-8:17

7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

KJV

Furthermore, look at the book of the Acts of the Apostles:

Acts 15:1-31

1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

KJV

Those curses and blessings you are reading within the Law are NOT FOR GENTILES who are OUTSIDE of the Law!!! (They have their OWN curses and blessings based on their own systems of law!)

These curses and blessings were specifically for Isra'el, and they suffered (and continue to suffer) from the curses just as predicted for their disobedience. However, they do NOT directly apply to US! Even though they contain very good codes of conduct and rules of practice, we are NOT UNDER THAT LAW!

That is the beauty of the New Covenant! He has written His Law upon our hearts! We are FREE to abide by them to please God without the threat of the curses therein! Read through Paul's letter to the Galatians. He is CONSTANTLY making the argument that we have been freed; so, why would we want to go under the yoke again? I'll end with a few of Paul's words to the Galatians:

Galatians 3:7-26

7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

As to the OP's martyrdom or any of us (as events may happen more quickly that most realize and possibly within our lifetimes)... when it comes right down to "Take the mark of the beast NOW or DIE!" You will see many so-called brethren betraying brethren to death... So you and I and many of us living today might well experience this. I tend to think that when it comes right down to the sword being wielded over our necks there will be very few who will be able to resist until death. Most of us hope we will. But I rather think it a minor test of faith when we withhold witnessing to neighbors, coworkers, strangers in the street fearing the loss of a job or persecution or embarrassment... how will we respond when our very life is on the line?

John, I don't think any of us can withstand what's coming in the end. It will take the help of the Holy Spirit. If you have the Holy Spirit within you guiding you then you have nothing in the long run to worry about........ if you do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you then you have no hope whatsoever. I do believe that the whole of the end times for a Christian boils down to that.

Do you have the Holy Spirit of God indwelling within you guiding your life???

The "you" part being intended for everyone in general and not just John.....

Shalom, DF_McLeod, and I do mean that literally, PEACE to you.

Yeshua` haMashiach (Jesus the Christ) will be with you through the Comforter within you, regardless how the future - near or far - plays out. Do not listen to the detracting words of the pretribbers who say we won't be here. The truth is that they are probably wrong. I cannot find a single thing in Scripture that demands the early withdrawl of our presence. Indeed, I find SEVERAL places in Scripture that warn we will suffer for Him but that He will sustain us through the suffering. If pretribbers are right, all the better, but if they are wrong, well, it would be best for us to be prepared. Therefore, I cannot say yea or nay to your prophetic dreams. Those are between you and God.

On the other hand, with regard to your "strong Christian friend" who interpreted your dreams as "your job will be to attempt to warn and save people during the 7 years of tribulation," I can only say that, through my studies of the Scriptures, there are only 3-1/2 years left, the first 3-1/2 years being fulfilled in the years that Yeshua` offered Himself to the elders of Y'hudah (Judah) as God's Anointed (God's Mashiach - God's Messiah - God's Christ) to be Isra'el's King. When they rejected Him as their King, He also rejected them, leaving them desolate (Matt. 23:37-39) until they admit they made a colossal mistake and cry out to Him for His help and rescue. Until that happens, Yeshua` said they would not see Him. Thus began the gap in the seventy sevens of years, and we are currently in the break during the "times of the Goyim (Gentiles)" when Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) is "trodden under foot by the Gentiles," also known as the "time of Ya`aqov's (Jacob's) trouble."

Often, we see the sins of our nation and our neighbors and even ourselves and the resulting destruction of our nation because of our choices, and we think, "It can't be long now 'til it's all over!" But, I am reminded of the parrot Iago's words in the Disney movie "The Return of Jafar" in the "Aladdin" series: "You'd be surprised what you can live through!"

In a practical sense, we are encouraged in the Scriptures to "always be ready." God may always call upon us to face the moment of our deaths. We also know that Yeshua` instructed us to "be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh" (Matt. 24:44). On the other hand, we don't know the exact time when Yeshua` will return, and from the year on the Jewish calendar, 5772, it could still be almost 220 years away from now!

Frankly, WE DON'T KNOW, nor SHOULD we know! If anyone tells you they do know, call him or her the liar he or she is. One may SUSPECT a certain time, but he or she cannot actually KNOW. If one claims to know, God will put him or her in his or her place right quickly, just as He's done with countless others, including lately Harold Camping! That's GOD'S business - to know the future - and He doesn't share His knowledge; He only gives us hints through prophecy.
