Well there are deeper things involved in this Shiloh for me than just knowing!

1.) Eph 4:26-27

26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

NKJV

In order to imitate this obedience I must find its understanding in God... because

Jas 1:19-20

19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak,

slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

NKJV

I am thinking if I can understand its purpose and How God uses it to bring about His use of it in righteousness?

2.) Love the sinner but hate the sin... many verses combined toward concept!

I believe it would improve this area of effectiveness in use by God within me toward evangelism... Love, Steven

Can wrath exist without a cause?

But can wrath be a substance that is created?

So I mean, that's what it sounds like you are asking?

well that would get a jump on things! Shiloh seems to reason that it is God's Character... Your answers to the above would at least define the directives a little better... especially exist without cause! yes or no and why... Love, Steven

No one gets angry without something to be angry at.

But the ability and potential are there.

Was the Lord wrathful at anything before Satan's rebellion? Well, since we have no idea what did or did not exist before this time, we can't know!

But was it in God's character and nature to become angry? I don't see why not.

Well it is difficult to reason with God in this ... 1John chapters 3 & 4 brought under 1Cor 13 and then have people so immersed in the sins yet having love and acceptance for them but hatred and anger for their sins... I am trying to improve myself in this area for the possible ministry to teens... which right now I feel totally inept!

Wrath is not an attribute of God. God hates sin and always has. That is is what constitutes God's character. Wrath speaks to the outworking of God's hatred of sin. Honestly Steve, there is no reason to make this more complicated than it is.

Well I have to admit if anyone can make an Oreo cookie complicated 'that would be me'.... but motives are good! Love, Steven

Well, it doesn't say, "don't be angry," or "anger is a sin."

Rather, "[when you are] angry, ... do not sin."

As for the second part - don't stew in your anger.

Ah - teens can sure test your patience!

Ask the Lord to grant you eyes to see past their faults to their needs.

And pick your battles. Some things teens do is because they do not know in their hearts to act different than what is fed them by their peers and the media. Plus they come from broken and/or dysfunctional homes and are reacting or expressing themselves out of their pain and brokenness.

Instead of theologizing "wrath," ask the Lord to teach you how to love and to fill you with His love for them.

I am probably misreading the intent of your loving advice... so forgive me and let me know so by a kind "your out of your mind" :)

I've read that in another thread where theology is possibly disdained in your eyes? I and formed within to live unto God

this way- mind->will->emotion. Because common sense dictates God has come to us in His Word John 1 and the command of

God 2Tim 2:15 thus receiving 2Tim 3:16 ... I certainly have learned my emotions are slung from one end of the spectrum to another

because of the unique connection to body by senses directing emotional response to action! We can act without thinking if we allow

this avenue unchecked by the mind and will! Isa 1:22.People often confuse trust with mental abandonment but true trust is that after

we have taken in His Word... The holy Spirit will implement The Use of That Word to the identity of Christ Himself... Love, Steven

Well, that depends on what is meant by "theology". I mean, we are discussing "theology" now, are we not?

The problem is we elevate the thinking about God and debating the things of God above the actual practice of getting to know God the way we would get to know a friend.

It's like the religious leaders Jesus rebuked for studying Scripture to find life, yet the Author of Life stood before them and they did not recognize Him.

I and formed within to live unto God this way- mind->will->emotion.

"I and formed"? I think that's a mistype, but I can't place what was meant to be said? Sorry.

OK. I am not understanding though what this has to do with God's wrath and what you are trying to sort? Other than you need help with keeping your emotions under control?

As for the second part - don't stew in your anger.

For me the Lord is telling me to be angry with sin but don't let the result of that anger which is wrath be allowed to remain in me.

Doing so would grieve The Holy Spirit vs. 30 & 31.

So this brings me to the understanding that if wrath is not to remain in me then also Our Lord God will remove it from Himself in the

eternities of unity with Him... when the reason for it (sins judgment) has ended in the eternal state. Which may very well be the

capsule of God's swallowing up ... Hell is to be God's eternal wrath for that within and a Perfect deterrent to those outside of ever

the approach to hell's boarders? The wrath of God is of this magnitude CONSUMING FEAR, TOTAL DESIRE TO ESCAPE

WITHOUT HOPE OF DOING SO, THE WORST... AN INTENSITY OF TODAY ONLY INCREASED BY THE MORROW WITH OUT END...

In order to imitate this obedience I must find its understanding in God... because

Jas 1:19-20

19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak,

"Slow to wrath" is not "do not have wrath."

That is correct but having the anger of the sin while the exercise of putting the wrath portion away from us... for it is

the judgment of God toward sin and that belongs solely to our Father in Heaven thus fulfilling 'judge not lest ye be judged' concepts!

How could my heart judge another when I am as they except Christ cover me and change me and Live in me for His Honor and Glory

this ignites the fire of my heart in this work of witness... Love, Steven

Did you mean to say "be angry with sin"? This makes it sound as if you are given an allowance to sin.

Please clarify.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
