Well, that depends on what is meant by "theology". I mean, we are discussing "theology" now, are we not?

The problem is we elevate the thinking about God and debating the things of God above the actual practice of getting to know God the way we would get to know a friend.

I believe we should always have Scripture as basis for our words. Theology to me is the witness of God through His Word explaining to me, as much as He enables me to Know, the wonders of His Perfect Being... I can be searching out the truths of Him in the Scripture and just breakdown and weep for the Beauty of Who He 'IS' ...The Witness of Jesus Personage within the Writing causes me to see my lack- this bringing intense sorrow for the inability to express the Pressing that The Holy Spirit imprints upon me of His Wonder... this void causes me to hear His groanings within and tears my only expression without! I only hope that one day I will be able to achieve the full expression outwardly of witness that I receive in His Spirit within...

It's like the religious leaders Jesus rebuked for studying Scripture to find life, yet the Author of Life stood before them and they did not recognize Him.

Letting the Scriptures renew your mind and not the mind to interpret what the Scriptures are... Every time I search The Scriptures I go away with a deeper appreciation of God Who has given them... I agree the purpose of Scripture is personal relationship in Spiritual realities allowing our faith to be more and more till in His Presence we will stand... I will know Him just as now I realize I am known by Him...

I and formed within to live unto God this way- mind->will->emotion.

"I and formed"? I think that's a mistype, but I can't place what was meant to be said? Sorry.

I am formed by His Word within to live unto God this way- mind->will->emotion...

Because common sense dictates God has come to us in His Word John 1 and the command of

God 2Tim 2:15 thus receiving 2Tim 3:16 ... I certainly have learned my emotions are slung from one end of the spectrum to another

because of the unique connection to body by senses directing emotional response to action! We can act without thinking if we allow

this avenue unchecked by the mind and will! Isa 1:22.People often confuse trust with mental abandonment but true trust is that after

we have taken in His Word... The holy Spirit will implement The Use of That Word to the identity of Christ Himself... Love, Steven

OK. I am not understanding though what this has to do with God's wrath and what you are trying to sort? Other than you need help with keeping your emotions under control? Doesn't everyone?

Because anger is a personal response to (sin)-> evils treatment of righteousness. Anger's outworking is wrath which I am to keep in check and put away same day. All so that my waking will be to His mercies that are made new for me each day and at that moment of waking I receive them from Him. I am trying to find the balance where allowing His Love through me yet not projecting that the sin they are in, even as I am speaking love to them is hated by God! Adjusting myself to the proper physical presence where they see clearly the anger for sin they practice yet sense the Love that God holds in me for them... Love, Steven

For me the Lord is telling me to be angry with sin but don't let the result of that anger which is wrath be allowed to remain in me.

Did you mean to say "be angry with sin"? This makes it sound as if you are given an allowance to sin.

Please clarify.

Eph 4:26-27

26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil.

NKJV

1 Jn 1:8-10

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

NKJV

My love is evaluated upon my keeping His Word... I cannot do this perfectly but His love presses me to... so I want to better understand and implement this anger to further my obedience to not sin... Love, Steven

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
