Of Coarse the BIBLE is the TRUTH.........

If JESUS said it ,then I believe it.

He is the WAY .....the TRUTH and the LIFE......

JESUS said this ,about the GOSPEL......

MARK 16:15

and HE said to them,"Go into all the world and preach

the gospel to every creature.

MARK 16:16

"HE who believes and is baptized will be saved;

but he who does not believe will be condemned.

LOVE and PEACE to everyone,

Is the Bible the Truth? I prefer to think that the Bible contains all Truth. Jesus is the Truth. But I think that begs the question. Yes, the Bible is the Truth. Can I prove it? I don't know. But God proves it to me every day through the Holy Spirit.

As much as the word of god may be the truth, you can never be too sure with the bible.

Think about it.

I like to think of it as the word and the bible being like water and coffee...first...you have water. Its pure, clean, perfect, infaluable. That is the word of god, as god intended it to be. Then...it goes through our hands (mans). That would be the water being made into coffee. It is no longer perfect, as it went through an imperfect being like water goes though the coffee. It picks up the ideas and thoughts of the author. No matter how much god tries, he could (or is not supposed to) MAKE us write the bible perfectly, as that would go against free will. Then...lets leave that coffee out for 9 hours. Thats the bible getting translated into many languages...so instead of drinking pure water, we are drinking this bitter crap. But bitter crap is better than nothing right?

At least thats my opinion on it. IMO, one must make the best of what he/she has, and try to discern the true meaning of the bible.

Have you ever heard of the "Dead Sea Scrolls" before?

They are in the original Hebrew and pre-date Christ's birth, death, burrial, and resurrection. The Bible hasn't been translated and re-translated over and over, we have copies of the original manuscripts in the original language.

Actualy, we do not. We have very old coppies, but as of yet, not original coppies of either testament have been found.

The dead sea scrolls is something I have not as of yet had the ability to read. They are so expencive, and due to lack of work, I am unable to afford a copy, as is with the gnostic gospels of which I am also itching to read.

I didn't say we had the originals, I said we had "copies of the original manuscripts in the original language."

To my knowlege that is true.

WOW! Can you read Hebrew and Greek?

I cry your pardon. I missunderstood you.

Even if we did not translate it over and over, the basic Idea is the same. As you cross to another language, you may lose meaning.

You missunderstand (Or I missunderstand your sarcasm), I ment english coppies. Both hebrew and greek are languages I have yet to look into.

Not a problem.

This is very, very true. I can't prove this by a link, but I have heard that in the New Testament alone, there are over 11,000 Greek words, yet in our English translations there is about 5,000.

I may be off in my numbers, but you get the point, right?

Yea, I misunderstood. You can go to Borders or Barnes & Noble and look in the religion section and find some of this information.

Or you can look online:

I'm somewhat with you. However, let me word it a bit better for you.

The bible we have, regardless of language, is infallible. The language (such as English), however, tend to be a bit more confusing than the original language and manuscripts. I will always, ALWAYS, support a Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic interpretation over an English, Russian, ect. one. However, this doesn't mean the others are fallible, it simply means the language has a hard time conveying the perfect thought of the material.

Also, we know the Bible hasn't changed in 2,000 years. It would have only had about a 40 year time frame for it to change....

Also, I do read and speak Greek (hoping to learn Hebrew here pretty soon) and I'll tell you that part of one of my classes was to interpret 1 John (in one week mind you...that sucked) based off the Greek manuscripts. After the translation, I was able to see that my translation was extremely similar to the KJV, NASB, ect...with minimal differences.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
