To Adstar -

It seems we have a theological misunderstanding with each other, perhaps?

I would just like to share the lyrics of a song with you, and see if you agree or disagree with the message and leave it at that?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How can we live in sin

Knowing He died to free us

From the chains within our soul

Let us give the Lord control

Of all the things that quickly bind us

And walk no longer in darkness

CHORUS

We belong to Him--We belong to Him

Crucified right by His side

Bought with a price through one sacrifice

We belong to Him

Now is the time to understand

That sin has no reign on us

The power of life in Jesus Christ

Has made us free from the ways of death

CHORUS

We belong to Him--We belong to Him

Crucified right by His side

Bought with a price through one sacrifice

We belong to Him

Flesh of His flesh--Bone of His bone

Born of His blood--His very own

We belong to Him

BRIDGE

At Calvary God's Son was made an offering

The price required--It was paid in full

The Word of God was spoken

The power of sin was broken

God's chosen seed has been redeemed

Chorus

"We Belong To Him"

Jeff Nelson

Galatians 2:20/Isaiah 43:1-3

To Super Jew -

It seems we are most definantly at a theological impass.

So, we can continue bantering with each other over what constitutes "the wrath of God" and whether or not God still judges nations, or whether the fall of the Roman Empire or any other nation or power that existed since the time of Christ was of the hand of the Lord or jsut whatever fluke that came around -

Or whether the Lord tolerates sin any more now than He did before -

Or whatever -

But I have an Organic Chemistry test this week and as such cannot devote the time I need to present my case.

So, you stated your interpretation of prophecy, and I've stated mine, and it's obvious neither of us will change the opinion of the other in any short time.

So for now, I bid you adieu!

I've just joined as a member so I'm not quite sure of my way around the site yet. I think that this prophetic word is valid for most of the nations of the world and is a cry from the heart of God so that the CHURCH, who is His body on the earth, can change the status quo by raising up a righteous standard. We know the state of most of the nations but the governments don't know God. We,as the church claim to know His voice. If we as the people of God will humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways and repent and cry to God, He will hear from heaven and heal our land.

I don't agree with this prophecy. It goes against how God works in the modern era. While He will eventually judge the nations, this "word" shows absolutely no grace, which is a key element in any modern prophetic message. Saying He's going to pour His wrath out on us? Sorry, I just don't see this message as being from God at all.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Dan 5:25

'MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.'

NASB

I don't see any grace in this, and is somewhat the same as what is being said here. I truly believe that this country has crossed the line and it is pretty much done....... He has the power to protect His own and most likely will; unless this is the end times where the evil one is given the power to overcome the saints and in this case he will give us the strength to check out with grace and meaning.....

Now i hope that i do not come across as being difficult Neb but we have a problem and it is the same problem as the prophesy that started this thread.

What is the problem? That 10 people can read the same words and come to 10 different conclusions to it's meaning. You see i could say to you now "yes Neb i agree with the message of that song Hallelujah" but we could still both be in disagreement to what the Words mean. Look at the Words of the song Neb. Is the song not full of christianese, of church jargon. Its not what people right that needs to be agreed with or disagreed with its what they think the words mean that needs to be agreed with or disagreed with. That

Brian,

Thanks for quoting John 1.

Jesus is not called the Bible in John Chapter 1.

Jesus is the Logos. This was a word drawn from Greek philosophy and would have been well understood by John's audience.

Logos is not the Bible. Logos is not a prophecy.

I am not going to tell you what John meant. Go do some learning.

(Or search through some of my previous posts)

- Steve

Steve, I'm not trying to dogg ya man but if want to have credibility with us lowly folks who love Jesus, come down off the mountain  and say what your gonna say.

So what your saying is God is not one with his logos? or he is? Do you think he's one with his rhema?

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word(logos), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words(rema) of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

Isn't rhema or rema the subect matter of logos? Logos being the intelligent utterance of laleo or lalia.

Please, my brother.(I love ya)......what does this have to do with anything? God is one with his logos, rhema, laleo and lalia. If God hums....he is one with that hum because he is God.

In the context of the prophecy, God is simply saying that he is not divided. What he speaks is what he is for he cannot lie. Is he one with the Bible? Yes because all scripture is God breathed.

In his love,

Brian

I can't tell you what joy I have received in reading this thread. I wish that it could have been that we were all in one place to break bread and share his wisdom. You have all spoken your hearts and with what grace you had to afford. I am truely blessed to have so many teachers.

Myself, I have no will to agree or disagree with any prophesy. Prophesy only serves as proof to witness in its passing. Glory be to God when those prophesies do come to pass. Not warnings to his children, but to those who deny him. I have little knowledge of scripture and a poor short term memory. I have learned a great deal from my brothers and sisters here at Worthy Boards. I can't begin to tell you what joy it is to receive my daily bread. Now I know what it is to hunger.

Glory be to him whose flesh is truth, whose blood is life and love.
