Meyer allegedly threatened to set his wife on fire before saying he would 'kill as many people as he could' at a nearby elementary school. http://www.cbsnews.c...eat-police-say/ Cedar Lake Police officers were called to Meyer's home early Friday after he allegedly threatened to set his wife on fire once she fell asleep, police said. Meyer also threatened to enter nearby Jane Ball Elementary School "and kill as many people as he could before police could stop him," police said. Schools will have to hire security guards into their schools . Sorry but, I would home school my child until, there would be a security guard ....at my childs' school. I can't afford to quite my job and stay home with the kids...plus I would lose my mind! I predict it will become illegal to homeschool kids one of these days. Now once he hears of the other two threats and arrests ... they will have to focus on hiring security guards at the schools. That is the only way , or means of safety that schools can have. I've heard several different stories about the weapons he used. Early on I hear the assault type rifle was found in the car, but then I heard that he only used the rifle in the shootings. I haven't been able to sort it out for myself. Also one of the kids that was being interviewed said that the police had a man on the ground in hand cuffs, and I saw a WABC video feed showing them chasing some guy up the hill behind the school and taking him down and handcuffing him..... What was that all about??? The conn. incident... when it first came on t.v. ... they said there were 2 gunmen involved and one escaped. I wonder why they aren't mentioning that ...also. And no effective way to "screen" people, anyway. The result is that there are too many whackos out there carrying guns. People have shown they cannot handle that responsibility.
