Guest Posted March 11, 2013 Share Posted March 11, 2013 I don't personally like these rep points, it turns this into a popularity contest of sorts, which is not what they are intended for. The reason behind them is to click on the up arrow if you agree with what the poster posted. showing approval or agreement. Some click on every post, good or bad, for some reason. Perhaps it is because they have voiced their opinion? Not sure why. The problem is, the agreement is not based on whether or not the post has sound biblical reasoning, but if someone agreed with them. This may be misleading to some who follow the idea that more points they have means they have the correct answers. I wish the site would do away with them, requiring the reader to focus on the content and not the points given. I'll step down off my soapbox now ... You're so vain...... ok that's it....from now I will score everyone like this: 8/10....-7/10....wouldn't that be a shocker...I can see the expressions now! seven is mean! she gave me a 5 (it's Sat....I'm allowed to overdo the smilies) What's that all about and why quote me, what did I say.
