can anyone explain Revelations 2:5

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

as the letter was addressed to the angel of the church of Ephesus

In my opinion it is saying in a simple form, to remember how you was (the church of Ephesus) before you stepped away from the truth,or started doing things differently,etc..and to repent and go back to the original way you was doing it,before you had fallen. I also feel the fallen angels are in Jude vs 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

ooohhh.... I should have thought of the Jude verse, nice contribution!

Does anyone really believe that God would place His children under the guidance and control of the fallen angles? I don't.

I see from my life I was not worthy of anything but death, then the blood of Jesus washed me, and I was redeemed, He put me in charge of others lives, and now I do my best to keep them

It appears in the bible God has mercy on whom He will have mercy, who do we see God putting in charge of His people, according to the biblical record, He choses the least of men, and in most cases the exact opposite than what we would chose

would you have chosen Saul of Tarshish, to be Paul one of the greatest leaders of the faith.

or David a young shepard boy, or Moses a man who was not well spoken,

even yourself should be an example, unless you were spotless from birth, and here God has allowed you to be a moderator and judge over everyone here, If we were to know all your past sins would we conclude it was a good choice

I don't think we can put limits on the power of the blood, or the sins of angels as being to great for the blood to cover.

as the bible clearly states in Colossians 1:19-20

"19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross".

considering you don't believe angels that sinned were reconciled, can you give me your opinion of what was reconciled in heaven according to this scripture..............I'm hoping you believe "things on earth" being reconciled are humans

How did you get to this question when I was answering if the fallen angles were over the seven churches????? :noidea:

I'm just asking for your opinion, as I am not claiming anything to be fact and am only presenting a theory, we know from scripture that the blood of Jesus reconciled man to God here on earth, can you give me your opinion of what or who was reconciled in heaven as the scripture plainly states,

we know that angels can sin from scripture could there possibly be some reconciliation in heaven that the blood of Jesus covers

the scripture seems to say somthing gets reconciled in heaven what do you think it is?

this is just speculation of course!

yes absolutely! the scripture obviously excludes those first angels who left their abode, but they are not the only angels we see from scripture their are many different angels, with different jobs and tittles

No, I do not think they can be redeemed. The bible appears to state that they are beyond redemption.

Matthew 25

41 Then He also shall say to those on the left hand , Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

Matthew 8

28 And when He had come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one might pass by that way.

29 And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?

that maybe true concerning the angels that caused the nephilim before the flood

I see you have the view that angels mated with humans. I do not share that view.

Fallen angels are not part of the redemption Jesus came for.

OK I can understand that, I was wondering what your opinion was of what then caused giants, I'm hoping you at least accept the teaching that giants lived on the earth, in relation to sexual unions of people, can you give me your opinion of why normal people had genetically huge offspring

All who put their faith in Christ. What is faith, if not the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Can the angels say they have not seen God?

this verse has always had some perplexing notions behind it

could some of the fallen angels of had a change of heart, and could the scripture we see in Colossians 1:20 be speaking of a possibility that His blood has the ability to reconcile those in heavenly places as well

and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

I believe it was Jesus who commanded the messengers to write to the church and all seven letters applied to all seven churches. I pray i'm part of the church of Philadelphia  Rev 3: 10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

me too!.........should we move to Philadelphia.....lol

can you give your opinion on what was reconciled to God in heavens as in the verse I posted

and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

What makes you think it is referring to heaven (the abode of angels) and not the heavens referencing material created heavens (atomosphere, outer space)?

it could be!.....was that what was reconciled on the earth the dirt, the water, the plants?

Knowing that the word angel, means messenger, I just always assumed this should be understood as a message for that church.

"Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent."

Now, consider that whoever this is written to, they are being threatened with the removal of their lampstand. Then consider the following verse:

Rev 1:20

The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

I'll leave you to consider the implications there.

so what are the seven stars do you translate them to be human bishops, or God's angels?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
