One answer is it's a feeling, and most of us intuitively know it when we feel it. But Love is also actions, and I think that's the answer brother Fez was looking for when he started this thread. Whether it be love of the brethren, or love of a spouse, without actions it's doomed to failure. Love is a lot like faith. It's proven through what we do. If I say I love my brother and he's freezing cold, and I have an extra jacket, blanket, or a heated room to let him sleep in, and I don't do it, then I make myself out to be a liar. And I believe God has scores of angels that write down every little thing we do or don't do. I just came through a time where it was obvious who had the love of God in them and who didn't. I refer to the Storm Sandy and disaster it caused. There were groups of people who would set up a BBQ or some with other kind of hot food and keep it warm as long as possible.
