Greetings Yod,

First, it's good to see you back, I have missed our little chats.

why do you think that ALL gentiles who are going to be saved will happen before the "great apostacy" occurs? I think that is already begun and will be in full swing before long.

They actually coincide. It is the "organized church" that stops preaching "sound doctrine", and of course, we can see that happening today what with new laws being promoted against "hate crimes". A preacher being jailed for preaching what the Bible says about homosexuality and abortion. It's going to get a lot worse and we are seeing only the tip of the iceberg.

From what I can see there are a few nations like America, Australia, Zambia, Nigeria that have a large percentage of christians. The European "christian" nations ceased to be faithful long ago and I could see it happening in America in the next decade....

Then what?

We must always keep these verses in mind:

Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Revelation 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

So hidden among these "godless" nations are a "peoples" devoted to God that are too innumerable to count.

ERNIE QUOTE

But Orthodox Judaism in the land of Israel is going to continue. In the rest of the world, it is there that we shall have the greatest converts of the Jews.

YOD: I wouldn't be so sure about that, DE. The Orthodox are the only jews expecting a Messiah. They are only ones who know the scriptures and they are also VERY aware that "many gentiles are joined unto the land".

I agree that it's almost like an innoculation that blinds spiritual eyes but don't think God can't open them.

I'm counting on it.

I'm sure you already know that the Orthodox Jew believes the Messiah MUST BE born, and may have ALREADY been born and who will rise up and deliver Israel from the hands of the oppressors. They are NOT looking for Him to "come in the clouds". We must also turn to the scriptures to say HOW/WHO will deliver the Gospel of Salvation to them:

Romans 11:30-31 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

I do not believe that Orthodox Judaism CAN be reached, just as the Pharisees and Sadducees COULD NOT be reached. It will be the "little people", the poor in spirit, who will have their eyes opened up to SEE.

Here is an interesting tidbit though. I have been told that it is a recent occurance of the last century that the Orthodox have developed a practise of mourning exactly like this scripture mentions.

Do you think God is hearing their mourning?

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

How many Orthodox do you actually know, DE?

I think you are misjudging them as a monolithic bloc...and doing so rather unfairly.

The point is that the verse written so long ago by Zechariah describes the modern Orthodox method of mourning. That indicates that the time is near.

Greetings Yod,

Within the last 4-5 years I have been in contact with several Orthodox Jews, from Rabbi to the lay. It got me nowhere to speak with the Lay persons because they had to go to their Rabbi for the answers to the difficult questions I posed. Much like the Catholics "used to do" in going to their "priest" to interpret every jot and tittle of the scriptures. I found this very discouraging.

In my chats with Rabbi's, I often got quotes from the Talmud and even their more "mystical" writings, instead of direct answers from the scriptures. When they did respond to the scriptures, particularly those directly referencing the "Son of God", their response was that those verses pertained to Israel.

Without trying to ruffle any feathers, I eventually left them alone, realizing that there was no convincing them that Jesus was their Messiah.

Out of curiousity, what has been your experience?

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

I live in Israel and we are seeing a revival of Jewish Israeli sabras coming to the Lord. It is unprecedented and it will only increase until all Israel is saved at the welcoming back of Yeshua to His kingdom.

Orthodox Jews are being reached. There are more of them coming to the knowledge of Yeshua (Jesus) everyday. I and my family are proof of this. I was raised as an Orthodox Jew. My family was Orthodox Jews and so were many of the people that I know. Yet, now we believe in the Messiah. Not all of the Orthodox are willing to listen to the truth yet but many are and my generation is seeking the fulfillment that our parents have ignored. Many are just waiting for someone to explain who the Messiah is instead of preach it at them.

I'm glad to hear that Courtney. A short while back George gave us some figures of perhaps less than 2% of the Jews in Israel have become REAL Christians. This, I believe is about the same statistics for Messianic Jews worldwide, from what I have gathered. This means that All Israel is still quite a ways off, and I can assure you, it won't increase till "the fulness of the gentiles be come in (to the Kingdom of God)." They will remain only a "remnant" until that time.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
