Aww, never mind Budman.

I've never heard the audible voice of God either, but when I was tiny I pretended I had. When I woke up one morning I told my mum that God had come into my bedroom. When my mum asked how I knew it was God, I said, " Because He had a Green T Shirt on, with GOD written on the front! :24: Then when I got saved at the age of five, it was one of the little lies I repented of! :24::24:

I have felt The Lord speak to me in my heart though and I expect you have too.

Whatever, HE LOVES YOU.

Now, what I mean by that question is, has anyone ever heard the AUDIBLE voice of God?

Or an angels?

Going off the subject a bit, has anyone here ever seen an angel?

Any personal stories about something strange that happened to you that could only be explained by the hand of God?

Greetings Budman,

It doesn't happen often, but I have heard the Word of God in my SPIRITUAL ears, but it was almost as if I heard Him with my PHYSICAL ears, it was so distinct, personal and to the point:

Once He said: "Life is in the Blood"

Another time He said: "Remember the blood"

There may have been other times, but I do not recall. In both of these instances I immediately knew and understood exactly what He was saying. There was absolutely no doubt.

Oh yes, I remember another time when the Lord said this:

1 Corinthians 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Since it is the Holy Spirit that does the "speaking for God", here is the verse that tells us a little something about it:

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

What this tells us that when we study the Word of God, that it is stowed in our memory and when the time is appropriate, the Holy Spirit "brings it to our remembrance."

So the fatter you are in the Word of God, the more you will be enabled to "hear" what the Holy Spirit is saying to you.

As for angels, my wife's oldest boy, once when I was "at sea, while in the Navy" crept into his mom's room one night to make sure she was okay. Next to her bed stood a magnificant Angel, tall, bright and shining and carrying a sword, as if he were standing guard over her. It was such a glorious appearing and quite frightening for a young child, that he ran into his bedroom and hid under the covers. He never again worried about his mom.

When my wife wrote me and told me of this experience, I had been worrying about her being in the states with no one there to "protect her". When I received her letter telling me this, I KNEW IMMEDIATELY it was true, and my heart was at peace from then on.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Indeed I have heard the voice of God, spoken to my heart.

It's louder and more clear than anything said verbally. :24:

And Jesus said:

Joh 10:27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Mt 11:15  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Which ears is He talking about?

Greetings LarryT,

You forgot a good verse:

Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Very true. How we hear is contingent upon receiving a love for the truth(2Thes. 2:10). Do we really want to hear?

I agree with this.

Jesus said His sheep know His voice...and believe me, when you know Jesus, His "voice" in unmistakable. It doesn't "have" to be audible because it's more "REAL" than audible....

Look, if you step outside and a gush of wind blows your hat off and your hair is mussed...you don't wonder, "Gee, I wonder if the wind did that...?"

Duh. You know the wind did that.

Same with the Voice of the Shepherd. When He speaks, you don't wonder, "Hm, I wonder if that was the Shepherd...you KNOW who's Voice it is.."

Yes, there's times when the enemy sends firey darts and tries to confuse us. Sometimes our own flesh does likewise but as we grow in relationship with the Lord, we begin to discern His voice very well.

I had an experience not too long ago, and it was absolutely incredible. I was going through a real tough time in my life. That night before I went to bed, I was just praying to the Lord with all my heart that He would help make me strong through the situation, and that He would help me to rely on Him and only Him. Ialso asked that He would help me realize that I needed Him and only Him. After I had went to sleep, I woke up about 3 in the morning unable to sleep. I awoke and felt as if I should open the Bible. Iopened th Bible, waiting for God to reveal to me what it is that He was wanting to tell me. I know this sounds awful, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what verse he was leading me to, but I know I kept on opening and shuting it, hoping that He would just comfort me by allowing me to read whatever part I opened to. I continued to land on this same page EVERYTIME! I then shut my Bible and I continued to pray to God. Ifelt His presence all over me. I turned off the lights and layed there. I believe I began to fall asleep even while I was still praying. I awoke of the feelings of my blankets being covered over me. (My blankets had slipped down to the edge of the bed). I was almost frightened for a moment, because I had no idea what was going on. I was at my sister's at the time, and her and her husband were asleep on the other end of their house. I laid there just as still as possible, when I felt something pushing on my stomach. It felt like someone was sitting almost directly on my stomach. Idid not open my eyes once, because like Isaid earlier, I was frightened. Then, I felt this comfort come over me, and I fell back asleep. I awoke the next morning with the blankets secured up to my chin, and I knew that the Lord had comforted me. I was at one of my lowest points in my life, and He gave me what I needed right then. There have been times since then that I have felt very low, and I wanted that same feeling over me. At that point, Ihad so much faith. I felt so abandoned and alone, and Iknew that He was the only thing I had. I had so much faith in my prayer, that I think He wanted to let me know that He was there, and He would always be there. That time in my life was the most incredible. That whole next day, I could not stop THANKING him. Here I was, in a really horrible time in my life, and I was crying because I was so thankful, and Ifelt so blessed. Icould not listen to a Christian song without crying my eyes because Iloved Him so much. I would love to say that I have felt His presence so stron since then, but I haven't. That was such a special time. Others around me could not believe how happy I was and how at peace Iwas in the midst of the events surrounding me. I hope this inspires other. At first, Iwas not going to tell anyone about this, because I felt like it was between Him and me, and that I should not let anyone know. I have only told two other people, but Ihope that this will in some way inspire others. I feel like I should share this with others, because if I held this in, others might not know that He can reveal Hisself to you!

It just seems, in my case, the silence is deafening.

I would so love to hear His voice. Just once.

And to know, to really know, that it was Him.

warm regards

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
