A question. What happens to prototypes? They are replaced and redesigned. The first design is very rarely kept. It is improved and developed. This kind of brings me to my point. We have neither seen nor heard from any point of the holy trinity for approximately 2000 years. You may be saying

Hi DY,

Your human reasoning is faulty. First, we are not, nor can we conceive of being, God. My finite mind tell me that much. Second, what I want and what He wants are not necessarily the same thing. Yes many die each day, and I would change that if I could but I don't see the whole big picture yet. I see a little of it but not the whole thing. And God does check out His creation more often than you think. Third, God has not abandoned me. He does speak to me and not just "voices in my head." Something you cannot understand because you have not heard Him yet. By the way your post confirms scripture.

Hello Double_Yolker and welcome to the boards

I will agree with Larryt's observation that there is too much human thinking in your post. God is not a limited being, He does not need to make 1 or 10 or 50 prototype worlds or universes to create what He needs. He has created this world, this existence to get what He wants and as for time it says in the word that to Him a day is as 1000 years, meaning that time as we experience it is not time as God experiences it. So i would not worry about how many thousands of years we have to wait to see Jesus again.

Revelation 6

9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" 11Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

Romans 9

22What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

What if God was like a farmer who planted a grove of walnut trees His objective was to obtain 1000 tones of walnuts Some years the trees will produce 2 tones in other years they will produce half a ton or a quarter of a ton. The Farmer is patient because He is eternal He can wait forever to get what he wants.

God has a number in mind and He is longsuffering to those who are against Him out of the love He has for those who will embrace Him. So what if it takes 2000 years or 20,000 years to fulfill that number, that number will be fulfilled.

Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Actually the Scriptures present man as the culmination, epitome, and apex of God's creation; not a 'prototype.' That is exactly why God has gone to such great lengths to redeem us. He would do anything...even go to the cross...to make us His friends again!

God has abandoned us? Not hardly! When I was severely injured in a car wreck, He healed me instantaneously; is that 'abandonment'?

By His power, I have cast demons out of people, giving them deliverence from torment and bondage; is that 'abandonment'?

By His Grace, my prayers and laying on of my hands have healed many people of severe maladies, improving their well-being; is that 'abandonment'?

By His Prophets, He has sent us His Word in the Bible for our education, comfort, and edification; is that 'abandonment'?

Brother, all of us share the feelings you expressed in your post sometimes. But our dark moments are not the sum total of reality. Buck up, old boy! God is still with you.

With a blessing,

Leonard, a sinner.

Double Yolker,

You are attempting to make God look like a bad tempered old man, who is frustrated by the fact that things don't go His way, and so he has abandoned the job.

But!.....God is not human. He is Perfection.

As God created the Earth, He saw it was Good. As He created the Sun, the moon and the stars He saw it was Good. As He created the animals He saw it was Good, and if you read the book of Genesis, you will see why sin and imperfection came into the world and why it is there today.

We live in a world that is in complete turmoil and bad things do happen, but God does not abandon us!! I WAS abandoned, but God rescued me. I think He would rescue you as well if you were to ask Him. Get hold of a Bible, read it, and let the Truth set you free!

I don't believe that you really think God has made other worlds and forsaken them all. If you really think about it, if Jesus died for ALL Mankind FOREVER, then why would God make other worlds, send His Son to die for them all, and so put Jesus through the Crucifixion yet again???

You may feel abandoned yourself but God's love is there for You. Accept His love, it's FREEEEEEE! :24::24::24:

Seems like a sarcastic form of deism.

Let me ask you, do you honstly believe that the apperance of an increased evil means that God has left? Sometimes in order to paint a beautiful picture an artist has to use the darkest of colors. For man to appreciate His mercy and love, for us to see and fathom the beauty on His canvas of grace, we sometimes live a life that is blind to the light, a life in which joy seems a distant thing. It is because of the negative that we can appreciate the good.

God is perfect and infallible, he is omniscient, omnipotent and omnibenevolent. He created the universe and everything in it therefore, everything is as it was planned and/or should be. There is no need to fix or change anything as this would imply imperfection in creation.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
