Thanksgiving Ice Breaker Game

THIS YEAR… Thanksgiving
This year I edited/made up this hilarious game… Based on a game I found last year. http://happyhomefairy.com/2011/12/07/a-super-fun-christmas-game/


 

All you need are sturdy paper plates and pens for each player.
 

The host tells the players to put their paper plate on their head.

Then the host will give a series of instructions for the players to draw on their paper plates (that are on their heads) without looking.

Here are the instructions:
1. Draw a line for a floor for your picture.
2. Draw a Turkey.
3. Add flowers and trees if you are so inclined.
4. Draw a table.
5. Draw chairs near your table.
6. Draw people in your picture.
7. Write the words “Give Thanks to God”

After the six steps have been given, let everyone look at their masterpieces. Get ready for a serious giggle fest.

Then have players count up how many points they received by following this rubric:

1. 2 points if the turkey touches the table.
2. 1 point for each flower you drew.
3. 2 points for each tree you drew.
4. 1 point if your table touches your floor.
5. 1 point per chair you drew.
6. 2 points for every person in your picture.
7. 15 Points if you wrote the words “Give Thanks to God”

 

The player with the most points should receive a really awesome prize... Remember to take lots of pictures! Then you can spend some time making a list and talking about what you’re thankful to God for… A great conversation starter.

What a fun thing to do at your next Thanksgiving event! Or even just sitting around the table with your family and/or friends after dinner one night.

It was really funny. We did it tonight with the residents at the community center we run. They got a kick out of it.
