Sounds to me that all your doing is looking for a fight. Do you really want the answers? Ask God to make Himself very real to you, those who seek will find. God Bless.

Just tell me one thing that makes religion good... Makes christians better than others?

Religion is nothing...a RELATIONSHIP with Christ is everything. Only God's presence makes anything good. Christians aren't better than anyone else. All the good that is in anyone is from God.

There is my answer to your question though I feel it won't be the answer you are looking for. :b:

34 ? I can't remember when I was 34! Please don't say you are old. It makes me feel ancient! Any good Muslim will be offended if you say God is your father. I could cut and paste but I am sure that your young 34 year old mind is mature enough to simply search differences between Christianity and other religions on the net. I believe you will find many major differences. Let me know what you find. This will be interesting.

I hope you do find God and his peace. (Young man)

You think age changes your point of view on the world? And no, I haven't found any differences between the different religions... Some minor stuff but in the end, people pray to a all powerful thingy and get what? :noidea:

You are a little over half my age, and yes, age helps change you, providing you are willing to change. Paul says it this way:

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Yes, in most cases. As far as the difference in religions, you must not be looking. It is true that a common thread runs through many religions as far as morality is concerned. However, the question of how to get to God or heaven is completely different. No other figure in history claimed to be God in the flesh except Christ.

Christ said that he was " the way, truth and life and that through him only could men get to heaven"(John 14:6). He did not say "a" way. He said "the" way. The bible, over and over warns that other religions are false. If you don't believe me, just read it. Its full of warnings.

It is a very politically incorrect and offencive book. Jesus was offencive and it was the reason many wanted him dead. In a nutshell, he said that you and me are not capable of earning heaven. As a matter of fact, he refered to us as sheep. This is not a compliment. Sheep are very stupid animals. We think we know alot but as you said in your earlier post, our technology is not good enough to understand all of the secrets of the brain. God created brains. By God's standard, we aren't that smart. Our best minds do not impress him at all. Our willingness to humble ourselves might.

You guys are spinning around the question... You all say God exists because of a Bible! Who wrote it? God? Jesus... What of other religions? Allah? Boudha? It's all the same stuff!

well this is the first time ive (tried) to help someone, because most of the time i find myself asking the questions :emot-hug:

- Muslim (allah)

- Buddhism (buddha)

- Christianity (Jesus)

what do these religions have in common? they were both seem to be taught by an important person, where they show you how to reach nirvana, heaven, enlightenment, and such

but all the religious dudes only tell you how to achieve that state of mind. they dont help you, but you have to do all the hard dirty work on your own, which is impossible

whats different about christianity is that God knows we cant get into heaven alone without his help, because sin was passed down to us, and only the righteous could be in the presence of God. So instead of just saying how to get into heaven and leaving us on our own, God shows us how to get there, and opens up his arms to you with his assistance.

salvation is in your grasp. all you need to do is reach for it. its just your choice to take it or not

so to sum it up, God helps you, no other gods do

God bless,

Lnk

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
