Some do straddle the fence. You can't keep one foot in the world and put one foot in God's Kingdom. Lessons are learned through practical life situations. It's not always easy to get an "A" in this class...it takes some work. I admit at times in my own life lessons didnt pass the test or not quite gotten the gist of a lesson and had to repeat it. Jesus judged during his life on earth when he told the religious leaders of his day when he said, "you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do" I dont think that went over to well with them, or all those to whom heard it. Jesus was not being mean to them, he was simply speaking the truth. This was love in action, Jesus always let me people know exactly were they were in their beliefs. John the baptist also brought judgement to Herod who was living with his brothers wife. All the Apostles brought condemnation to those in the Church who were doing wrong. As it is written 1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 1Co 6:4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 1Co 6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? I'm referring to scripture. As I said, I usually just ignore the hypocrisy that goes on here, but when I do speak up, I do it through scripture.
