Grammys are meanliness awards.  As are the Oscars.  They are awards that entertainers give to each other.  If all of America got a vote, the award might actually mean something.

You do all have a vote!

And look what you got, an Obama!

Is that like a grammy???  :cool2:

oh my, that's funny......    but way too true to laugh at.

I did not vote for him so I am not guilty....

The only part I watched was... Ringo Starr/Paul McCartney (it took a lot of surfing back and forth)...but hey...that was a history making moment for me. I love the Beatles...

Anyway...

Todd Starnes reports...

Christian singer Natalie Grant walked out of the Grammys. She tweeted the following: "We left the Grammy's early. I've many thoughts, most of which are probably better left inside my head. But I'll say this: I've never been more honored to sing about Jesus and for Jesus. And I've never been more sure of the path I've chosen."

Former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron tweeted that the Grammys "seem to be really demonic?? Looks like there is a lot of evil in the world."

If you ever get the chance to see the "Liverpool Legends" don't miss it.      George Harris's sister searched the world over for 4 guys that look, sound and play as did the Beatles and to go to one of their concerts is like watching the Beatles without the 5,000 screaming teenagers screaming around you.

Oh I don't blame anyone for not watching it.Some folks just don't care what that side is doing...believe me I get it!My mom is the same way!She lets me give her a little bit of  a download on this kind of stuff.. but can only take so much.

Sorry, but you could not be more wrong with the bolded statement, as Jade said. Many of us have different battles and battlefields.

Speaking for myself: I haven't owned a TV since I moved out of my old furnished apartment that included one. I can use my computer to watch what I need to -- and the Grammys and other such shows are not on that list. I just don't see the point in wasting time or electricity on them because the Hollywood crowd has nothing to say to me. On what the enemy is doing: I'm well aware of what he's up to. I have the Bible. The world, the flesh, and the devil are all against what God says in his Word, so when I know the truth the lies become really obvious. Its no surprise that our increasingly pagan culture . . . acts like a pagan culture! The one thing about the lost is that they are always consistant in character -- they will always act like the lost until Jesus changes their heart.

Oh now thats not true at all. Some of us have other battlefields. Just as you do not follow the things I follow to serve Him, neither do I follow the same things you do apparently. I do not need to see the grammys when others can sum it up for me the next day. Keep in mind too that it can be a stumbling block for others and they shouldnt watch it. So to say that everyone who doesnt watch it isnt interested in what the other side is doing is quite false.

Thank you for explaining in more detail in another post here btw. Not that it changes the way I have already viewed them.

I think you're misunderstanding me.:) I'm saying I understand why folks could careless about watching something like that.:)

Apparently there was a marriage ceremony onstage conducted by Queen Latifa. Many of the couples were same sex. The song I heard briefly on the radio clip this morning began with words to the effect of, "It doesn't matter which god you worship, they all lead to the same place, it doesn't matter who you love because love is all the same." It was clearly an open display and approval of homosexuality, and it was slap in the face of anyone who thinks differently.

That is Macklemore's"Same Love"...it's a "huge hit".It's about as anti Christian of a song as it can get.

If the same sex marriage thing is so cool and accepted in our country, then why didn't the grammy's put the marriages on in the Beginning of the show?  No, they knew most of America would tune out right away.  How cowardly to slip it in late.  I feel so proud to be among fellow believers in here.  We can speak out as we see fit.

The hypocrisy of it all is before Macklemore "made it"...he had a song promoting gay bashing. It's all about whatever makes a buck for these folks.Like Jesus said no one can serve two masters.
