Please WN, Cease the Daily Drumroll against Palestinians

WN constantly posts news announcements that favor the ongoing oppression of Palestinians, and this constant drumroll drowns out normal discussions between posters. Christ + calls us to peace and love for eachother and the Christians who have been living in the Holy Land for centuries are Palestinian. I ask that WN stop its drumroll.

 

Christ + calls us in the Sermon on the Mount:

⁷ Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

 

Palestinians are severely suffering in the Holy Land. They live under military control and conquest, with their water taken from them. In the 2009 Gaza War, Palestinians lost 1385 people, while Israelis lost 13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Gaza_War). We hear very often about the many rocket attacks from Gaza, and I don't agree with them and am sorry for the casualties, because 2 Israelis died from them that whole year.

While this is announced as fact, elsewhere you can learn that Kerry threatened to cut aid to the PA.

I see many headlines about how Palestinians are threatening Israelis, but hardly anything about the repression that Palestinians are faced with constantly. Not long ago a young Palestinian named Odeh was shot in the head by the israeli army when he went to collect garbage with his brother. That's certainly not the kind of suffering you would read about in the headlines, unfortunately. Instead, the WN headlines talk about how there are rockets aimed at the Israelis.

 

If Worthy News needs a place to have these kinds of continual pro-war headlines, it should set it up elsewhere on the forum section and have a separate section for actual discussions. But what the constant drumroll of WN does is that it crowds out other discussions and guides the conversation in a way that ends up supporting the ongoing repression and crushing of Palestinians, who were conquered long ago and many times since.

I have been on many differing Christian forums who have given such a pro-Palestinian slant, and bought into every anti-semitic, anti-Israel story there was. In this day, anti-semitism is growing among those who call themselves Christians.  

 

I came here as it is one of very few Christian sites which gives Israel a fair and equal hearing, and is not anti-semitic. I would not want this site to change to be like the so many other Christian sites on the internet, which are against Israel, against the Jewish people, and believe every lie about Jewish people that has every been circulated. This site is a nice moment of peace.

The Palesetinians are oppressed but not by Israel.   Israel is not the villain nor is Israel the cause of the Palestinian problem.  The Palestinians are oppressed by the Arab nations who use them as pawns in an onging war of attrition against Israel.   The palestinians, when given the choice in Gaza elected in free and democratic elections, the most ruthless blood thirsty terrorist organization to be their reprsenative government.   That should tell you somehting about them and their mindset.

 

WN is telling the truth and exposing the reality behind this conflict, that it is not Israel who is the culprit in all of this, but rather it is the Arab community at large and the anti-semitic international community and its double standards.

If the PA and Hamas had spent the money they used for the thousands of missiles they fire into Israel on their infrastructure and needs of the people instead, we'd be seeing much improvement with the condition of the Palestinian people.

 

And by the way, when the Palestinians were given Gaza, why did the Palestinians destroy the greenhouses Israel left behind? If they had continued operating the greenhouses, don't you think they would have made life better for themselves via the same food production and exporting Israel had done?
