Signs in the heavens: The woman in Rev. 12

The book of Revelation contains several mysterious symbols. Many scholars have been puzzled by these symbols as well. This video will focus on sign of the woman clothed with the sun with the moon under her feet.

 

Revelation 12:1-2

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. (2) Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

Note - This is only a sign, not an event.  Signs can appear before or after an event, so please don't attempt to use this as the date that the great tribulation will begin.  The great tribulation will begin after the abomination of desolation (Matt. 24:15), which will occur in the midst of Daniel's 70th week (Dan. 9:27).

This bears watching. This sign in heavens is the only possibility that I see so far. We will know soon enough, because this sign shows the second half of Daniel's 70th week. If that is true, then we will need to have a confirming of the covenant within the next 5 or 6 weeks or so. If it doesn't happen, then we should probably look elsewhere. It's still interesting either way, so time will tell.

I was so fascinated by this that I downloaded this program on my computer and bought a book on understanding Astronomy (not astrology), there is a huge difference.  I wanted to verify what these guys were saying.  One of the things they claimed was that Jupiter is known as the king of the planets.  I didn't know that, but it seemed to be significant because the woman (Virgo) was about to give birth to one that would rule the nations (King of kings).  The book did confirm that this is correct.  Then I started messing around with the program and found something even more interesting. 

 

Not only is Jupiter the king, but I wanted to see exactly when Jupiter entered Virgo's womb, which is the square above her legs.  I was very surprised to find that Jupiter will enter the womb on Nov. 26, 2016.  Then I wanted to know when Jupiter exited virgo's womb.  And to my amazement, this will not happen until Sept. 10, 2017.  Folks, would you believe that is 41 weeks, which just happens to be in the range of a normal literal pregnancy.  So not only is Jupiter the king, but it is also the only planet that stays in virgo's womb for any real length of time.  Some other planets sometimes enter her womb as well, but they zip in and out in a single day.  It just so happens that Jupiter is so far out that its cycle takes longer to revolve around the sun.  Amazing!

 

This alignment is so rare that it may not ever happen again.  Some claim that it has not happened in the last 2000 years and won't happen again in the next hundred years, but I did not go that far into it to verify this, but after playing around with this program, I believe it.  It's extremely rare for the sun, moon and the planets to align perfectly, and the constellations are seasonal.  Another interesting thing about this wonder, is that it is foretelling the second or last half of Daniel's 70th week (1260 days or 42 months), which occurs after the abomination of desolation.  I think it's ironic that Christ would liken the things that happen before the abomination (Matt.24:15) to birth pains.
