If you treat Genesis other than a Historical Narrative Conner, of which it EXACTLY IS, then I don't need to refute it......It Refutes Itself.

Yes you do my friend.  Read the posts.  You cannot close your ears to counter arguments; your "it refutes itself" is an evasion.  If you do not know enough Hebrew, then consult someone else.  I am still waiting for Shiloh's reply.

Again, I never said that Genesis does not assume historical facts--creation ex nihilo (that is absolutely an historical element--it happened at point 0), God's sovereignty, monotheism, Man as made (historical)  in the image of God.  But the form in which these are communicated are not that of history.  The author has taken poetic licences (don't fall into the trap of opponents who drone on about how Genesis is clearly not poetry because it lacks parallelisms and the rhythm of classical Hebrew poetry--no one claims it is poetry.  Poetic and Poetry are not synonyms) in relaying these historical facts.  He has "framed" them in such a way that they communicate not only history but theology.  And the "Waw consecutive" argument is a subterfuge.

P.S. it's connOr.

I am glad I can be of service.  Really not trying to be a pain, but sometimes I am just amazed at what people get out of scripture.  I have read that passage multiple times and never once did it occur to me it was speaking of conspiracy theories. Is this a determination you came to on your own or was it something someone mentioned and you said "oh yea"?

As for the OP, give me a few months and I will get back to you.  I have started to do some research on the subject of ions picking up speed.  On the surface the answer seemed simple, the further they were from the gravity of the sun the quicker they went.  I will find out if that holds water or not over the next few weeks.

I'll save you some time.......Look @ particle accelerators, you may find an answer.  Gravity is Non-Sequitur

I'm saying it's a Turkey Club....you're saying it's Grilled Cheese.  We can move no further.

And I've had plenty of discussions with you in the past concerning this issue ConnOr and I've had quite enough, Thanks.  I'm not going through each of your points with a Refutation.....I've done it many times from multiple angles.

If you wish to continue down this line of reasoning it's your choice.  You have been admonished not only by me but by Shiloh countless times.  There comes a point where I must let go.

If you think science and the WORD of GOD are in Lock Step then we don't have much to discuss.  You may want to tell Worthy Management to go ahead and close down the forum "Faith VS science" because you think and can PROVE they're on the same page.

Wrong.  You have never refuted ANYTHING I've said regarding the proper exegesis of Genesis.  All you have ever addressed are the scientific questions raised by the creation account and scientific problems that MAY OR MAY not confirm YOUR understanding of Genesis. Your strength is science, not exegesis. Your "exegesis" relies entirely upon another person, Shiloh.  My last post dealt with the exegetical question and for the first time dealt with the Hebrew: and I have yet to hear from Shiloh (who is usually so very, very quick with the comebacks).  If you dismiss me now then you risk exposing yourself as "afraid of competition".   I do not necessarily think that is true; but it will raise some questions.  There is no way your previous posts have ANYTHING to do with my last couple of posts in "Genesis: obvious reading?"  All of your arguments are completely irrelevant.  Good science, perhaps; but even remotely exegesis.

The argument should start with the Word of God and any arguments that deal with that should therefore be faced.

Again, you misread me.  To say that Science and the Word of God are in Lock step should be translated: "What scientists are claiming" and "The Word of God as it is intended to be read (i.e its authorial intent) are in lock step.  That is nonsense.  I believe that history as it really is, is in lock step with the Word of God, as the word of God is intended to be understood: of course I do.  God wrote both.  YOu simply cannot or will not conceive the distinction between the subjective and the objective: again, science may be your strong suit, and I appreciate that, but philosophy is not.

Hahaha.

It was a triple dog dare.  I was pretty sure the "afraid of competition" would work.  It was a rhetorical strategy.  I don't actually think you are; I have too much respect for you (well, so far :) )

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
