Father arrested at school board meeting over protest of assigned book

Please pray for this family and for the youth of the US that are being subjected to ungodly materials in school daily. How would you have handled this situation?  WARNING--short excerpt from book added at end of article is explicit

Mr. Baer explained that he was arrested at a meeting of the Gilford School Board meeting on Monday, 5, 2014 and charged with a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. As audio and video evidence of the events clearly illustrates, however, there was nothing remotely disorderly about Mr. Baer’s conduct at the meeting. It was the first time he was arrested in his life.

No, there was something far deeper at work here, something that you will not see, hear or read about in the “drive-by” reports done by the mainstream media. It is this lead-up to the school board meeting that puts the events of May 5th in a much clearer, and much more unsettling perspective. It should serve as a warning to all parents that there is an agenda much greater than what we are seeing. In the words of Mr. Baer, “something is very wrong.” Indeed it is, and the report that follows should send a chill down the spine of every parent, of every American, for this is coming to your city, town, or municipality if it does not already exist.

Do you not think maybe it is time for christian Americans to march ,demonstrate publicly and in numbers

against this invasion of the diabolic into public education etc:

The big démos in France worked in so far as there will be no surrogate mothers and I need to look up it' name ,but its been banned too. Will return with name .

As for books in schools,there was an outcry over book about homosexuality etc. for infants which was withdrawn Under pressure from parents involved in the démos .People who had no contact before set up networks to resist this kind of thing and will continue to do so .

My prayer for this man who needs to be supported actively too.

Unionleader.com reports William Baer was arrested and taken away in handcuffs from the meeting “because he would not stop protesting” the district’s policy of assigning “Nineteen Minutes” by Jodi Picoult to its 9th grade English students.

In a previous interview with EAGnews, Baer described portions of the novel as “pornography” and said he was appalled that Gilford High School officials assigned the book without giving parents any notice of what was in it – or giving them a chance to opt their children out of the assignment.

Gilford school officials say Picoult’s novel – which tells the story of a school shooting and how it impacts various individuals – has been part of the curriculum since 2007. Gilford officials say that parents are normally notified of the book’s controversial nature before it is assigned, and acknowledge they failed to do so this year.

Before Baer addressed the board on Monday evening, he was told he had two minutes to speak. Unionleader.com reports that Baer “went beyond that time and sat down, but then got into an argument with another parent who approved of the book at the high school.”

Baer asked board members what “the remedy” should be, but “the board said it would not take questions on the matter,” UnionLeader.com adds.

Baer was then approached by a police officer.

“You are going to arrest me because I violated the two-minute rule?” Baer asked. “I guess you are going to have to arrest me.”

 

They arrested him & then the school did agree to an "opt out" option for parents to decide whether or not they will allow their children to read books that are assigned by the teachers for the kids to read             Love,Kwik
