Nope, you can't be born gay, God says its you own lust.

Romans 1:26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.

And your sisters kind of church is mentioned in the bible.

2 Timothy 4:3

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

Meaning they will leave the truth because they are in sin and go to a church that is ok with sin, like being gay, and they will keep going there because they don't have to change even though its not the truth.

God excepts everyone, But being gay hinders her walk with the LORD because God says being gay is wrong.

"For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."

          -Romans 1:26-27

Things are not the way they should be in her life.

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

          -Genesis 1:27

God created Man(adam) and woman(eve), not two men Adam and Steve, nor amanda and eve.

"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."

          -1 Corinthians 6:9-10

God excepts everyone, but there is not a person God doesn't change

I have a half sister who has been born again for 2 years.  She is a hard core christian and practices her religon regularly.  She is also gay.  I have heard many theories that God doesn't accept gays but doesn't he accept everyone?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Nope. She needs to come out of it. But the LORD is preparing the way as we speak for every one to come out of the flesh. When it gets well under way she won't care anylonger about sexual orientation at all.

[God loves every one. Yes even gay people. There is nothing we can do to increase or lessen his love. However there are actions which sadden God because they separate us from Him. I belive being sexually active outside of a legitimate sacramental marriage is one of these things. Gay - hetero it doesn't matter. We are being disobedient to the one who made us. Wether or not these actions will drive us so far from God that our souls will be lost is really not our to know. What I do know is that we are not to judge but to love. We must love the sinner even while disapproving of the sin. It is easier to develope a "holier than thou" attitude just like the pharisee in the temple, but none of us is truly holy. We are all works in progress. So love your sister. Jesus does.

Thank you for all of your responses. My sister is now engaged to her girlfriend and I think that all that really matters is that they are both happy! :emot-highfive:

Those who think that homosexuality is a choice should try to remember when they made the choice to be hetero.

That sounds good to some, but it doesn't fly IMO. And it doesn't address the problem, it's only a diversion tactic. We needn't make a choice, because God's devine plan made us that way.

God's Word to us says that homosexuality is unnatural at least, an abomination at most. Whether or not someone is a believer makes no difference. It's wrong. If one has a temptation in that area, then they have a temptation. We all have temptations, due to our 'baggage' in life. We and we alone are responsible for our choice to act on our temptations, or do what is right. Saying they are "born that way" is an easy out, but the consequences are dire. The Bible also says you reap what you sow.

Despite the efforts of a few anti-Christian secularists, there is no scientific proof that one is "born that way". Not to mention that such a belief is contrary to Scripture. Either you stand on Scripture or you do not.

Is that all that matters in life? That people are society's idea of happy?? "Happy" by whose standards? Do you think that when your sister faces God, He will say - "Hey, forget about what I expected of you - as long as you were happy, that's all well and good. Welcome home. "

I think you'd better rethink your position on "what really matters". :emot-highfive:

Workin progress,

Well, what I am saying that it is her choice whether or not she wants to be gay and to be happy in her decision! I am happy for her that she is happy with her life. yes I hate the fact that she is gay but I can't change her and I am not going to judge. I am not God so I couldn't tell you whether or not he doesn't like homosexuality because to me, and this will probally tick alot of people off, the bible has been written so many times by many different people so I believe what I beleive and if that will make God judge me well, then so be it. I will not live my life answering to other people on what I believe and what they believe. I don't agree with every christian way or that of the ways of other religions but I do know this: I love the Lord and will forever and He knows that. I try to be a good as I can and I respect others decisions in life. So, yes I am happy that my sister is happy and to me, that is all that matters because as much as I want to fight her on this, it's not going to change her mind. Thank you all for your replies but to me this subject is closed! :emot-highfive:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
