http://gretawire.foxnewsinsider.com/2014/09/02/president-obama-was-informed-more-than-a-year-ago-and-still-called-isis-jayvee-in-january-click-to-read-catherine-herridges-report/

A former Pentagon official confirms to Fox News that detailed and specific intelligence about the rise of ISIS was included in the PDB, or the President’s Daily Brief, for at least a year before the group took large swaths of territory beginning in June.

The official, who asked not to be identified because the PDB is considered the most authoritative, classified intelligence community product providing the President with analysis of sensitive international events, said the data was strong, and “granular” in detail, adding a policy maker “…could not come away with any other impression: This is getting bad.”

The official who has close knowledge of the process said the President, who reads the PDB unlike his predecessors who traditionally had the document briefed to them, was not known to come back to the intelligence community with further questions or “taskings.” Asked to describe the frequency, the former Pentagon official said “not generally.”

After suggestions that the administration may have been blindsided by the rise of ISIS, and that poor intelligence was to blame, the former Pentagon official said some of the intelligence was so good it was described as “exquisite” when the President drew a red line on chemical weapons use in Syria in 2012.

The source who is familiar with the deliberations said “(we) were ready to fire, on a moments notice, on a couple hundred targets,” but no order was given. In some cases, targets were tracked for a “long period of time” but then slipped away.

On whether the administration delayed acting on the Foley rescue, as first reported by the Sunday Times of London to be 30 days, the former Pentagon official confirmed there was significant delay, describing a White House that was racked with “hesitancy” and continually asking for “the intelligence to build up more.”

At the time, Fox News is told that a large, heavily armed compound, believed to be housing Foley, and other potential captives, was identified near the ISIS strong hold of Raqaa, Syria.

Yeah, he refuses  to acknowledge that we are at war with ISIS.   He has no problem with being at war with the TEA Party and no problem being at war with conservatives, and is willing to go to war against Hobby Lobby and groups of elderly nuns, but for some reason he refuses to go to war with people who are dedicated to our destruction.  He has basically ignored the threat they pose and would prefer to dictate to us the health care we should get  and the kinds of light bulbs to buy and of course dictate to parents what they should feed their kids.

This is the line that got me:

After suggestions that the administration may have been blindsided by the rise of ISIS, and that poor intelligence was to blame, the former Pentagon official said some of the intelligence was so good it was described as “exquisite”

Absolutely no excuse then.

I believe Mr O has a plan and he has been engaged in it all along.

It's just not the plan most people would expect from the president of the United States

, but for some reason he refuses to go to war with people who are dedicated to our destruction.

perhaps because he is committed to our destruction.

LOL... love that photo/captions of Reagan

yeh, Obama is such an amateur. How in the world did he get elected?? Do you think it was voter fraud? How could it be otherwise when most of the country is Right or Center Right? I have just never gotten this... seems unfathomable

I had read books about him b4 his 1st election and tried to warn people he was a virtual communist but apparently not many were listening (True, i didn't get to address all 350 million Americans, but anyhow..)

I hope obamacare gets overturned, assuming that is possible at this late date. I tend to think it is, but honestly, the topic rather overwhelms me and i don't know what the heck to think at htis point

Ted Cruz!

What do you all think he should have done?

what he should do is attempt to kill every single ISIS member. Ever seen someone try to kill cockroaches in his home with just a few bits of poison placed here or there? might get rid of a couple of them, but you have to get rid of ALL of them, every single one or you are going to be infested forever

yeh, 4 sure, many of us have thought (still think) the same thing. It is just SO bizarre that someone like him got elected.. IT tells you something about our country, but i am not sure WHAT it tells us.. We are a bunch of idiots? LOL... Well, i don't think most americans are idiots, although there are some, those who vote "historically" for example... voting for someone just because of such unimportant criteria as race or sex. But most Americans are Right or Center Right, so it had to have been voter fraud that got t his virtual communist elected... Gee... so strange that the US would have such a problem with voter fraud that this could happen...

What do you all think he should have done?

It's actually a simple matter.    Instead of firing all our best military leaders, he should pull the joint chiefs into the situation and tell them to make ISIS go away.......     don't care how, or don't want to know.....   I just want to know when it's done.     No news people and no prisoners and the only history would be that ISIS just seemed to disappear.

remember those despotic dictators that were controlling these crazy people years ago......   until we removed them all....   well now we see why they were so despotic.....   it's the only way to deal with them...
