Prayer Group to Sue BBC for Blasphemy

Christians angered by the Jerry Springer musical broadcast by the BBC are to pursue a private prosecution against the corporation for alleged blasphemy, it emerged today.

People take themselves far too seriously. If you are offended by the opera, and knew you were going to be offended by the opera, why bother to watch it? The easily offended should have enough common sense to avoid anything related to Jerry Springer, and this was pretty highly publicized.

And before anyone says anything, when the article references the "117 f-words," it is important to realize that that particular word carries far less weight across the Atlantic as it does here. They have other words that reach and equivalently offensive level, but not that, curiously enough.

Well "in drag" would bother me. But I've always promised myself that if I EVER get good at painting human faces, I'm going to do something special for PEOPLE LIKE ME: I'm going to paint a short, fat, bald Jesus, carrying a little lamb!

A yes complaints about this, but a the sametime we have cable and sattelite channels filled with Benny Hinn and his dubious healings, and a man calledCreflo Dollartelling viewers that if they send his ministry money they in turn will recieive material wealth from God. Christian groups need to look in their own eyes first.

Actually amor, if you had been pay ANY attention, (and you obviously weren't), Christians have been highly critical of Benny Hinn and Creflo Dollar. Books have been written and just a google search will show you plenty of Christian criticism of their teachings.

However, (and I don't expect a secularist like yourself to be smart enough to know the difference), depictiing Jesus as a homosexual drag queen is far worse than anything Benny Hinn and Creflo Dollar have done.

Why is it that you ALWAYS defend the lowest common denomenator? All you do is continue to show your ignorance.

Would you be equally offended at Osama Bin Laden if the BBC dressed up mohammed as an overweight, homosexual, drag queen?

To place hatred for Jesus at the feet of Benny Hinn is really far fetched. Where was Benny Hinn when they nailed Him to the Cross?

Was Creflo A Dollar preaching at the time? Yet there were men making money in the Temple and names for themselves. Who hated Him as well. Still and all He the Lord of Life and Light laid down His Life for them and all who will.

In 20th Century context? Our enlightened state? How do we honor this?

It's a satire on exploitational TV of the type that Springer, Dollar and Hinn produce.

So that makes it okay to depict Christ as an overweight , Homosexual in drag?

The Word say's everyman shall give an account to God.
