I spent a great deal of time looking into what some people say about Islam. I found that the so-called verses of the sword are not supposed to be translated the way some people do. I also found a jhead is an inner war against sin, which really isn't so different than Paul saying he was at war with his flesh, which wants to sin, but his spirit doesn't. That's a jhead. The over whelming majority of Muslims define it this way. But ISIS does not. Most of the Muslim world has condemned ISIS for what they're doing. The ones who haven't are scared of ISIS.

I want to see peace between all peoples of all religions. ISIS is clearly being run by Satan. All ISIS does is kill, steal, and destroy. That's the devil for you.

Correct about satan, but a few points here...

Historically islam has a great many of its followers who agree with the idea that christaians and others are infidels.  There are definitely verses that can be interpreted one way or another but there are definitely ones that cannot be mistaken.  If you look at all the iterations of radical islam over the years it becomes more than just a few crazies perverting the religion.  If you believe the bible we have to believe that there will never be peace between religions until there is a one world religion.

with that being said...people do not like to be told that something they are associated with is wrong.  So people will turn a blind eye to what is obvious to everyone else..the political left often jumps on anything that they can to call others racists while themselves being intolerant as the day is long.

The religion of Islam itself is from Satan. ISIS are interpreting Islam exactly as it is meant to be interpreted.

So true! But there are also many Catholics who believe that all non-Catholics are infidels, and Mormons, Baptists, etc. who believe likewise. When someone crosses the line from devotion into radicalism, believing that they are absolutely right about everything and all other views are wrong, the way they treat others is the same no matter what faith or other ideology the radical espouses.

Most Muslims, especially the ones living in the Middle East, are just uneducated about the basics of Christianity. I think this is largely because our faith remains banned or repressed--especially in our "allies" like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and now the new Egypt.

There are certain things the people view as their identity, and not simply things they do.

I'll use as an example, homosexuality. People who practice homosexuality has been taught that homosexuality is not what they practice but how they were born and who they are. They believe they are homosexuals as their identity. It is like me saying I am short. I am only 5 feet tall, so, based on most views, I am short. If someone said they hated shortey's, I might assume that means they hate me.  So, when you say 'I hate homosexuality', people think you are saying you hate homosexuals because they identify themselves as homosexual by nature.

So, in that case, the people identify themselves by their proclivity to sin. Homosexually oriented people do not have to commit the sin connected to acting on their urges. Most people do not identify themselves or view their person as the sin they commit. An adulterer does not view their lives as defined by their adulterous actions, so when someone says they hate adultery, it is not taken as a personal hatred as they do not see themselves as defined by adultery.

Religion is much the same. A person is their religion. That is an important aspect of their identity. Being a Muslim from birth, or being born a Muslim is who they are, not what they practice in their view. So, if a person says they hate Islam, in a Muslims view, you hate them.

What I hate about Islam is that Islam denies who Jesus is. Since the religion denies who Jesus is, it teaches people who I care about, to deny who Jesus is. To deny Who Jesus is, means a person will not receive redemption thru Jesus completed work. Without redemption, people I care about will die without Jesus and that is a tragedy since their ending will be in hell.

For people who identify themselves as homosexuals, they are taught that by nature, they have no choice but to come to terms with who they are and do what is natural for them. Those people are not their sin. They are people who could come to Jesus but they believe Christians hate them because of who they are and Jesus is not for them because of who they are. What a horrible lie.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
