16 Kids and teachers from the same school who were returning to Germany from a student exchange program in Spain.

Pictures are emerging and the pieces on the mountain look like confetti. The black box has already been found.

When are they going to implement the technology where all plane data is streamed so we don't have to keep looking for these silly boxes.

You would think that they would. Guess its too expensive to retrofit? Or is it too hard to get all the airlines to cooperate?

Think the airline industry is just slow..due to all those regulations they have to follow.   It took them long enough to finally allow us to use electronics in the air, when it was shown it was perfectly safe decades ago. If it was that easy to down a plane with electronics... nobody would have to go through all the trouble smuggling knives and explosives.

"Lufthansa has been training its own pilots for more than 50 years.

The future flight-deck managers spend about two years training to become commercial pilots in Bremen and Phoenix, Arizona."
