Thanks for the additional input you all.

I am still praying over what the Lord might want me to do about this situation but this thread is helping me to crystalize my thoughts, learn how to express them, and otherwise get a more adequate understanding of what the root problem may be at this Ministry (which has resulted in me and apparently others being treated as we have been).

The way I have been treated is bad enough but it's deeper than just me.

I think part of the problem is that the Director of this Ministry and indeed the personnel at this Ministry (at least as far as the higher ups are concerned) have a very low regard for those they are Ministering to.  The people being ministered to are in virtual fear of the Director.  When I was discussing what happened with some of the lower level people it was like they were terrified to have done something wrong.  As if the Director was going to kick them out of the Ministry and into the streets or something.

That was the first inkling of something not being right there.

Then...when I explained what happened to the Director myself (I saw him and was only able to interact with him directly the day this happened)...he reacted as if I was lying.  That was the second clue to my spirit that something was amiss.

Of course there have been other clues along the way.

In some of my last communication with the Director (though not directly...as it has all been passed along to him by another higher up) he (the other person who I have communicated with has told me that he does not pass along things to me unless the Director okays it or otherwise has him say it) said to me and I quote...(I have removed identifying information only)

" the offer is as it stands and final. If this offer is not acceptable to you, the (Ministry name) will be forwarding our offer and full complaint file to the (city name) Police Department for their review."

Without getting into too many details I had rejected their first and only somewhat reasonable offer of compensation they made to me previous to the above and the above ultimatum was their response.

I suppose one could rightly say it was their style of "negotiating".  That is to say take it or leave it but if you leave it we are going to report you to the police!

All this makes it quite plain that there is rottenness within the heart of this Director and in those who support him knowing full well how he has been dealing with me.

The rottenness permeates this whole Ministry.   Even into the Board of Directors I think.

But they portray themselves as godly and get contributions galore on that basis.

I've dealt with Ministries like this before.  I was in one once a long time ago.  They were rotten to the core.  Portraying themselves as Christian but acting in a most unloving manner to those they were supposedly bringing the love of God to.  I spoke to clients there about the real love of God and was having a wonderful time and some impact on those who otherwise pretended to be Christians to gain from the Ministry when I got kicked out because...well...I was not Mission material (I kid you not).  I did not drink or smoke or otherwise need recovery services.  I had simply lost my housing and needed a place to stay while I saved up enough to get another place.

That was the first time I became homeless by the way.  I had two days to leave and simply did not have enough to get a place yet.

What I saw there in terms of the hypocrisy was unreal.  I honestly could not understand and  still don't how people who call themselves Christians can act like they did.

I think this current Ministry is very similar.

Great on the surface but rotten inside.  Full of dead men's bones as Jesus said while outwardly religious.

They run over people.  I am a righteous and absolutely honest man yet they are reporting me to the police as another potential scammer without a shred of evidence to support their accusation against me other than that I did not accept what they consider to be a wonderful offer of compensation I suppose.

That is the root of the problem I think.

An attitude that runs over people to accomplish what they want (whatever that might be).  All in the name of Christ of course.

In other words the Ministry and what it is about is what is all important.  Not the people they are supposedly Ministering to.  They are dispensable.

Doing the right thing by God is not what is important to them (they have made that quite clear).  It is rather more important to them to safeguard the Ministry from all threats (whether perceived or real) even if they run over people or otherwise act in an unloving manner toward them.

The root is idolatry I think.  Where the Ministry has become an object of worship.  Where all must serve the interest of the Ministry and where if someone does not...they will intimidate, assume the worst about, ignore, and otherwise render them ineffective to hurt the Ministry and cause it expense.

Religious folks just like the Pharisees who were the type of persons that prided themselves in appearing righteous to men without concern for what God thought.

Straining at gnats (i.e. offering the least they can offer and fighting to avoid compensating someone fairly tooth and nail) while swallowing camels (i.e. the love of God, mercy, compassion, and understanding).

Jesus would have had very strong words for the kind of individuals that are running this Ministry I think (assuming my analysis is correct).  Very strong words indeed.

And he would have expressed those words to them publicly.

I think of what Jesus said about how the time would come when those who kill the disciples would think they were doing a service to God.  With many Ministries I think the attitude has now become that safeguarding the Ministry is all important as a reflection of God Himself (as if He needs us to protect Him).

I hesitate to move forward into further confrontation with this Ministry.  I don't like suffering and being misunderstood, maligned, and what have you.  Especially not by supposed Christians and even by real Christians who are naive and allow themselves to be deceived as to what is really going on with Ministries like this one (which as I said are all over...making money off the backs of the poor that they "minister" to).

Yet the Lord has allowed to happen what happened to me for a reason.

It is perhaps possible that He wants to bring about a great repentance through my standing against this kind of wickedness happening in his name.  I don't know.

For my own self it is far easier to just let things go.  I have what I need.  The Lord has provided for me in near miraculous ways (as He tends to do with me).  I don't need any compensation at all from this Ministry at this point.  He will judge them in the end for what they did to me and how they have treated me.

But...if I let it go...others will suffer as I did when this sort of baloney happens to someone else.

If I let it go the name of Christ will continue to be blasphemed and maligned when the poor are mistreated by this Ministry and when unbelievers see that.

If I let this go...the church where I live (I refer collectively to Christians in this city) will miss out on a wonderful opportunity to judge sin and uphold His holiness and love.

I think it goes even deeper than this Ministry or others like them.  Many Ministries are simply a reflection of rottenness in the core of many so-called Christians who are unwilling to lay down their lives to love as Christ loved.  It is a rather easy thing to give a little something to Ministries who will do the "loving" for us.  Such giving does not require much of us at all.  We don't have to learn to trust God for our needs as we give of our substance to meet needs in others.  Personally and in an involved, life sharing way.

So called Christians Ministries thrive on the hand out mentality that has infected the core of the church.

Jesus talked of giving up your life, denying self, to make ourselves available to do HIS will (not ours).  Many so-called Christians hide behind outward religious activity and do goodiness to justify their self-centered idolatrous lifestyles.

Jesus will say He never knew many church members!

What I have experienced with this Ministry is far deeper than just this Ministry.  This sort of thing would not be happening as often as it does if the church of the Living God had been judging sin all along and standing against ungodliness.

Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to seek the Lord on what to do with all this.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
