You doom people to tax nightmares of a mess. You also prevent people who want to be married in the eyes of God from getting married. Give all the marriages to the judges and it would swamp the judicial system but gays would still get married.  But the Christian populace should only recognize marriages that were done with church over-sight. If people are only focused on what the "law" and the news has to say about it, their thinking has already become muddled. Christians should withdraw from a government that stands aggressive towards our religion and allow them to continue in peace. Quit complaining about the changing times and adapt.
