Your mother hates your tattoos. So does your Apple Watch, apparently.

I can see how that is. I did a project once that used similar method at measuring heartbeat. The pulseoximeter in hospitals use the same infrared to measure oxygenation in the blood to detect heart rate.

those things are so cool....   i had to buy one a couple of months ago to keep an eye on my oxygen levels......   I smoked pretty heavily for a good number of years 30 years ago...   and I'm starting to pay a price for it.  Anyway when I get some kind of lung infection, or allergies kind of bad, my O2 levels drop down to the low 90's.  My doctor wants me to check it now and then to make sure it doesn't ever get down below 87....

When I get over the infection it goes up to 96-97 which is just kind of OK.....        Interestingly, my big toe checks about three to four % higher than my fingers.   No one can tell me why that I've talked to, .......    and pleast don't ask me why I know......   I'm dangerous when I get bored.

I'm experiencing a bit of Schadenfreude.

That a pagan practice can derail the latest technological innovation amuses me.  All that ink and vanity makes the hot new watch malfunction.  Actions -- consequences.

Yeah, I'm being a hard head.  Sorry.

Tattoos can also be a problem when they are on your back.    Unless sometihng has changed in the past three years, I was told that all tattoo ink is a pretty strong neurotoxin.    So if the ladies have one on thier lower back and are going to have a baby, they will have to do it natural child birth for they can't go through a tattoo with a needle to do an epedural.        Back surgery for just about any part of the back that is covered is also a serious problem.

I know some people who can not wear a watch. It has something to do with the electric impulses in their bodies. The watch will stop.

I had an uncle with that problem. You could lay the wrapper of a cigarette package on a table and could hold his hand a foot above it and it would jump up and stick to his hand.

Gravity. If you want to check my hypothesis, stand on your hands for awhile and then re-check...
