My 4 year old was playing with another child the other day at Mc Donalds. My son asked the other boy, if he had "Sweat on his frown" :24: Then the other day, the same 4 year old passed wind and proudly told us all (seated at the dinner table) that "Mum, I nearly blew my pants off." Oh Moose, I nearly passed OUT laughing :taped:

Being the mother of young children can be trying on the patience, but also hilariously FUNNY!! Would you share stories of your children with me?

Love

Faithie

it's been many, many years ago since my kids were young. but i remember one beautiful sunny day, i got the kids ready and we all went down to the pool. we'd barely gotten there when a thunderstorm blew up out of nowhere, as thunderstorms often do in texas. dismayed as i was, i said "oh WHY does it have to rain TODAY????" and my oldest replied "because mom, the trees are thirsty!"

I'm going to enjoy reading this thread, but unfortunately my two funniest may offend some people.

My friends son once asked his mom about "Godbirds". He meant angels. Awwwwww!

Once my son came home from 1st grade and told me they were studying native American cultures and religion. That "religion" part upset me as he started explaining the totem pole and prayers for the dead and summoning spirits, etc...

As he's telling me this, I'm thinking about maybe going down to the school to have a talk with his teacher. Then he tells me that they had to take on an Indian NAME and play a part in the ceremonies and I'm getting really ticked...

Then he tells me what name he came up with...

His chosen name was "He who teaches people about Jesus"

That was many years ago...tonight I'm visiting him at his military base in Virginia.

thanks LadyC

I'm very proud of all my kids but that one has an anointing on his life that is so strong.

Later in the same year (1st grade) when Christmas came around the school wouldn't teach kids the reason for the season...but they did study Kwanza and Hanukkah and how other cultures celebrate in the month of December.

Since we are messianic, my little Alex was the only person in the room who actually knew anything about Hanukkah so the teacher asked him to do a report for the class.

She was so stunned and amazed as he preached Yeshua to the class through the Hanukkah story that she called me to ask more about it....

 Your son, Yod, sounds amazing!!

My little girl and my son were in the back seat of our car as we were driving, then my son was 8 and my daughter was 4...well she was singing a song she learned in church..."Praise thee Lord".....well she was really blaring it out loud....and all of sudden my son yelled "God's not lazy"....she was singing instead "Lazy Lord" And she was sure she had it right. So funny....my son was sure that God would be offended...but I explained to him that I'm sure God laughed out loud, when He heard her version.

Love and Blessings,

Angel

Love it, Yod! What branch is he in? I have a child in the service also.

he is a drummer in the Army. He's taking music school in Norfolk and then shipping out to S Korea in June.

and asking him - "Do you know about Jesus"?? It's really hard to punish a child for wandering off and talking to strangers when he does that.

yes it is....that story reminded me of Yeshua in the Temple when He was 12

My daughter could not speak quietly when she was 2, and was VERY verbal. I remember the first time she actually noticed black folks. I know she had seen Negroes before, but somehow it never registered until one Sunday after church, when we were out for lunch at a restaurant. A beautiful young black family, obviously fresh from church, and in their Sunday best, just as we were, was sitting all the way across the restaurant from us. I mean, these people were a picture of real Americana; like a Normal Rockwell painting!

May daughter--God bless children--begins pointing and SCREAMING: "LOOK HOW DIRTY THAT MAN IS!!!"

I whisper (maybe she can take a hint--ha, fat chance!): "No dear, he's not dirty, that's just what color he is....

"NO HE'S ALL DIRTY! LOOK! HE'S COVERED WITH GREASE!!!"

Everyone is staring, and she WON'T SHUT UP.

In the midst of her tyrade, the family was finishing their lunch, and smiling pleasantly decided to stop by our table and enjoy my horror! He finally persuaded Clairessa to brush his arm, and she was endlessly fascinated that the color did not come off.

I ended up co-pastoring with this young Minister at his predominently black church for about a year, and it was a great experience. But oh, that beginning was most inauspicious!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
