Once again those of you who have no faith try to corrupt those of us who do. Jesus clearly told us that faith is the key to answered prayer, and there were no stipulations. I refer to verses:

Matthew 21:22

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

God is omnipresent, all places at all times. There is no room for adversity. No room for sickness and no room for lack. Those who are experiencing these things are not experiencing God's kingdom, rather they are experiencing their own man made hell.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

So, lemme guess.....when you're sick or experiencing trials in your life, you're just not being faithful enough, right?

Marine,

Believe nothing because a wise man said it.

Believe nothing because it is generally held.

Believe nothing because it is written.

Believe nothing because it is said to be divine.

Believe nothing because someone else believes it.

But believe only what you yourself judge to be true.

And I do not judge it to be true that God blesses some and punishes others. Nor do I judge it to be true that I am living a pre-written script, that I am part of some master plan. And I have no need for a God to return some day, because the one that is here now is sufficient for me.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Wow. I'm just about speechless. Just about. Have you ever read Jeremiah 17:9? It's telling us that we CAN'T trust our feelings because they are constantly changing. They don't stay constant - like the truth. You believe what YOU judge to be true? Well, what if someone else believes something else to be true? What if you believe contradictory messages? Then what? Who is right? Whoever believes the strongest? Truth exists whether you or anyone else believes it or not - whether you like it or not. We have to have a basis to which we can judge WHAT is true. God is not the author of confusion.

Acts 17:11 - Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

No where in there does it say to believe only what you, yourself judge to be true.

As for your other statement....you have no need for God to return someday? Yikes man, that's pretty arrogent. I just don't seem to have the words.....

Tubal,

Can you keep yourself from the grave?

Peace,

I hear all these people claiming to have a personal relationship with Jesus. They claim to walk and talk with him everyday. If that's the case, Jesus must already be here....so what are they waiting for? A physical manifestation? Spirit and physical are two different things. God is spirit and can only be communed with in spirit. Therefore, those who wait on a physical God to appear, are missing the boat.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Actually, Jesus lives in our hearts in the person of the Holy Spirit. And yes, we walk and talk each day with Jesus, even though He is not physcially on the earth. He said that He would never leave us, or forsake us! You need to read the Scriptures. Jesus will return in bodily form. He will rule the earth for a thousand years from His throne in Jerusalem. After that, the New Jerusalem will descend from Heaven according to the book of Revelation and God the Father and man will live together. It will literally be Heaven on Earth. :emot-questioned:

Actually Tubal it depends on what verses you are reading. You are making an unsupportable carte blanche statement. I study and read Hebrew. The Hebrw word for heart "lev" can mean "intellect" in some places. You cannot just simply say that heart means "mind." That is nonsense. Hebrew has several words for mind in the OT. Words like "Ruach, Nephesh, Peh, Min-nay, yetser, are all words for mind and have nothing to do with the heart.

The Bible makes distinctions between heart and mind, even in the new Testament.

Phi 4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Our heart is our innermost being, what Peter calls, The hidden man of the heart. Man is, according to Scripture, Spirit, Soul and Body. We are three. The Spirit and heart are used interchangeably. The Soul is the mind, and the Bible makes a clear disinction between Spirit and Soul. Man is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in a body. My mind will die, but my Spirit will go on through all eternity.

I don't need astronomy to quote from Revelation. That is nonsense. The book of Revelation makes it perfectly clear what is going to happen, and that Jesus will return to this earth and physcially reign upon it. I don't need astronomy to explain that to me.

Thank you for the lesson in Hebrew, but all you did was agree with my point that the word heart, was not, except in obvious situations, referring to the physical blood pumping organ in your body.

Man's true essence is spirit, as you have said, and since God is the source of spirit, spirit must be blameless and pure, and only the intellect, psyche, or mind, which you say will die, can be blamed for sin. Spirit is already a part of God, therefore has no need for another God to reside within it.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No, I did not agree with you at all. The word heart is used quite often as a reference to the Spirit.

You are also wrong about the spirit. The Spirit is the heart of man, and is sinful until it is regenerated by the Holy Spirit. They Holy Spirit resides in us, whether you like it or not. The human spirit is not a part of God, but a separate entity. The Holy Spirit is the ony "Spirit" that is part of God.

The mind or soul is in a process of sanctification, after a person is saved. Salvation is a three fold process. Justification, Sanctification and Glorification. Our hearts (or spirits) are justified at the moment of salvation, our minds (or souls) are being sanctified, and one day our bodies will live again, glorified. One day our Spirit, mind and body will be reunited at the coming of the Lord, and each will be perfectly whole. Until that time, we have the Holy Spirit living within us. I suggest you read your Bible better, cause you dont know what you are talking about.

Jesus lives in us in the person of the Holy Spirit.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Jo 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Here is another one of your errors:

Therefore, those who wait on a physical God to appear, are missing the boat.

Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Act 1:10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Jesus' return WILL be physical. Tubal, you need to read the Bible more and talk about it less. You are nothing less than a blind guide.

I thought this is an awesome topic. To see through the eyes of God. We all want God to look at us through the eyes of His son; but then do not do the same for those around us. Could be the beginning of perception or discernment if we would just ask for it. And maybe a true walk of love?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
