Pope vs. Gunowners

The Pope has been taking aim at the Second Amendment for some time.  Last year, he referred to arms makers as “merchants of death.” Now the Pope has questioned the Christianity of manufacturers and owners of guns.

“It makes me think [of] people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian, and they manufacture weapons.  That leads to a bit of distrust, doesn’t it?” the Pope said.  “Duplicity is the currency of today… they say one thing and do another.”

U.S citizens being armed apears to be problematic for them.

Tackling this ammendment always seems a front and center thing with them, even when there seems to really be other more pressing things to mind.

Rather then coming right out with it (gun confiscation on a national scale) they do seem to be trying reduce the numbers owners through policy, like chiseling down on who exactly can own one through these reforms rather then tackle the whole of the nation at once.

Implimenting small changes (of exclusions) little by little until the whole is disarmed.

“Duplicity is the currency of today… they say one thing and do another.”

This could be the Pope's slogan.  Just change the "they" into "we". Someone could have this inscribed on a plaque and couriered to the Vatican.

This is exactly how governments become tyrannies. The real issue is that those who are supposed to be representing the citizens through the ballot box are actually cozying up to those who want to control the citizenry.  In effect you have taxation without representation, and the Tea Party came on the scene to deal with that, but failed to keep hammering away.  The RINOs hate the Tea Party as much as the Democrats.

What is Vatican city? Do they allow the right to bear arms?

And if not, and everyone is disarmed, why are there Vatican police?

Isnt that being pro gun (in just being concerned over the security of St. Peters square?

Is wanting some security evil?

Or personal protection from nut jobs a bad idea?

Yeah its become way too obvious that its control that is being sought, and then when I see who is supporting what (or who is pushing what)  the players are just making themselves more obvious. They just use different tactics in their manipulations.

The Pope is a hypocrite.   He is anti-gun, but has a 135 member commando team (Swiss Guard) armed to the teeth with the latest and most sophisticated firearms to defend him from danger.   But if we defend ourselves from danger with firearms, he questions our Christianity and the Christianity of those who make firearms.   It's nothing more than pure hypocrisy.
